Getting started with Toast Wallet





Part 1: Setting up your Toast Wallet




Step 1: Downloading Toast Wallet

First, travel to Toast Wallet and choose your operating system







Step 2: Setup Toast Wallet

Once downloaded, you can set up Toast Wallet.

To do so, open the downloaded file.
Accept the Terms and Conditions and click the green button that says "Create new Wallet"





Step 3: Create a PIN and Passphrase

From here you will be asked to set a 6-Digit PIN code for your wallet.
Make sure you remember this PIN, because without it you will not be able to access your wallet.







Once your 6 Digit-pin is set, you must now set a "Passphrase". A passphrase IS NOT a recovery phrase. The passphrase will be used later to confirm sending transactions. Make sure you write this down somewhere, as without it, you will not be able to send XRP





Once you have entered your passphrase, press the blue button labeled "Set Passphrase"


Next, you will be given a recovery phrase. Make sure that you write this recovery phrase down and keep it in a safe location. If you get locked out of your wallet, this phrase will be needed in order to recover your account/funds.







Step 4: Support Toast Wallet (optional)

Once you have completed these steps, you are almost done! Feel free to donate to Toast Wallet to help support future development. If you can not donate or do not want to donate, press the red button labeled "Not at this Time"







Step 5: Adding account

Now that you have Toast Wallet Setup, there are a few final steps you need to take before you can start sending and receiving XRP.

To start, click the button labeled "Add account"

You will then be given the following options





From here there are a few options. For the sake of this guide, you should choose the "Generate new address" option.



After choosing this option, you will see your XRP address and given the option to give your new account a "Nickname". Once you are ready, you can click the "Import this address Button" as seen below.




Note: This wallet is not activated until you deposit a minimum of 20 XRP to the account your just created.



After you create your new account, you will be given a Encrypted Backup for the new account. Please make sure you save this in a secure location, as it will be needed in the instance where you need to backup your account.







Step 6: Activate Wallet

This step is crucial, as your account will not be activated unless there is a minimum of 20 XRP deposited. To do so, buy some XRP from your favorite exchange and send the XRP to the address you just created.

Part 2: Sending and receiving

Now that you have set up and activated Toast Wallet, it is time to start sending and receiving XRP


Step 1: Sending

To send, click the "$" symbol on the bottom task bar.




Once there, you will see a Screen that looks like this





To send XRP, copy and paste the receiving party's XRP address, or scan their QR code.

Set the destination Tag if it is needed. Most Receiving Parties do not require this, but be careful, as many exchanges do. for more information on destination addresses, please refer here: https://toastwallet.com/faq

Last, enter the amount of XRP you wish to send, enter your passphrase, and press "PAY"

That's it! You have no sent XRP from Toast Wallet. XRP transactions are fast, but be patient, as funds aren't always sent instantly.





Step 2: Receiving

To Receive XRP, travel to the home screen and click on your Account




Once there, You will see a screen that looks like this






The 2 blue arrows point to your receiving address and your receiving QR code. You can copy the address to your clipboard and send it to friends, family, or customers so that they can use the address to send your XRP. Alternatively, you can also allow people to send you funds by scanning the QR code.





That's it, you are now ready to start Sending, Receiving, and HODLing XRP with your Toast Wallet!

Pretty cool guide, Do you know how to disable PIN? It keeps on going back to the PIN screen every 20secs or so. There's no settings or anything. Been tryin out the DEX tho, not what I expected.
