    its never too late to start, youll just die alot.

    Train melee stats and get hp in safe zones or close to safe zones

    It should still be possible if you are committed to it. As said above, you will be killed a lot, so maybe train your combat in safe zones such as the grand tree area (terrorbirds and guards).
