On topic, what possible motive would a fully grown man have to go to a 12 year old girl's house, other than criminal? If this guy is asking questions too, before he arrests, I don't see how there's anything wrong with it, as long as he can prove the guy has criminal intent.

 

60 years ago, a black person drinking from a white-only water fountain was against the law. Laws are not based on what is right, but on what the most amount of people think is right. So if the majority thinks that black people are 3/5th's of a person, then they can make a law that allows that.

ANYTHING could happen. It's like a person shows up at a drug dealers house. But just shows up. Nothing is bought.

As long as two people truly agree with having sex, no one should bother.

That has nothing much in relation to do with the topic. The guy has intentions of sex with a minor but he yet to do it.

He shows up yes but who knows, he could have gotten the little voice inside his dead to not commit sexual activities and just hung out with the kid (not saying they will but it's possible)

Taking a shot at someone is an attempted endangerment of safety while the guy is an intentional endangerment that is yet to happen.

It's just hypothetical, how do you know that he'd go have sex with the minor? Anything can change at anytime, he might get a small sense of common sense from his conscious and he could decide to just meet the person instead of engaging in sexual activities.

If you attempt a shot at someone, that's a charge for attempted assault. If you talk dirty to a 13 year old girl, you've just got the rank pedophile.

 

That's the key word. You have intent. I don't believe doing all that is against the law if you don't have sex with her (or him).

The people on that show jump the gun and catch everyone they see. How do you know for a fact that the guy wasn't coming in and apologizing for what he's done and saying how wrong he was? These are all possible situations and the people are on that show doesn't put into mind those small factors. If you try and stab someone, most likely, you'll be charged with attempt assault. If you talk dirty to a minor and stock up on condoms and beer, you can still pull back from that.

 

Sorry but this is a touchy subject.. I have zero mercy for anyone lured into a position that they clearly had knowledge of "kiddy crime". There was a recent story not long ago how these "sick" people troll online games. I sometimes too often pass players ingame that I seriously wonder about.

Catch them early no matter what the method... This is the opinion of a father/dad.

tyro needs to understan that poke is playing devil's advocate, that most of those men are probably going to rape the girl but some may have had good intentions, and nobody can prove that because the worst is always assumed of them.

 

I believe Women/Girls are attracted to older men, Well, Most women.
And if a girl, Say 16, Wanted a man to come over and have sex with
her that's her choice.

a girl if he can come over is wrong, But they wouldn't get
there if she didn't agree. Though luring her into it is a different

To catch a predator, For most of you to understand, Is like
making a bait account on Runescape, Then asking some poor level
60 with no money if they would share accounts, And the bait account
agrees to put GP on it, Then the bait accounts reports him.

You cannot lure other players into committing a crime.
And to some limits you shouldn't do that on the show.

Anyway, Wait a few years and she is legal, From 15 to 18, She won't
get wrinkly, Ugly, Old and saggy, She might look even better.
Wait 3 years, While your free to live your life normally.
Or like 20 years in prison, Tossing salads.

Because obviously if someone compares killing a person to having sex with someone that is 15 years old, they really don't deserved to be debated with anyways.
