Tips for Bronze/Silver/Gold Elo Seekers

Hi Elo Seekers!

I been acquiring a large amount of Bronze - Silver - Gold jobs. These elo can arguably be carried out of single handedly. I've been seeing players of this elo make the same mistakes over and over again and I thought I share some tips with you elo seekers out there so that you may try to gain elo yourself before you spend money finding people like myself to help you (Of course we do not mind haha!)

note: These tips may not work for you and is not a cure for everything, but it sure worked for me.

1. Keep calm
When you are feeding, take a step back and look at the way you play. You will see that you are actually not playing (mechanically) the same as you would when you are fed. Take a step back, calm down, and act as if you were fed. Now look at the way you are playing (mechanically).

2. ADC is god
I might get some slack for this, but who cares. ADC is god in these ELO's.
Learn to play ADC, pick your favorite and easiest one. Spam the selected ADC in normals until you are confident, then proceed to carry games. If you are confident enough on your skills to carry: Take all the kills. Take all the buffs. Take all the CS/exp. Your team mate's cries will soon turn into approval when you begin to kill the other team after stealing their buffs.

3. ADC tips in game

a. See a gank coming that you cannot win or getting hard engaged on? Laning vs pokers in lane? Hide behind your support. 9/10 times players in this elo will aim for the closest person.

b. Learn to kite. If you want to carry out of this ELO, you need to learn how to kite effectively as an ADC. Never stay in 1 spot and always keep moving. Learn to ORBWALK.

c. CS is god. Chasing a kill that you might be able to finish off or that you may waste time on? Take a look at nearby objectives/minion waves. 9/10 times it is more beneficial for you to back off and take the dragon, take the tower, or take the minion wave for $ and EXP. (~2 waves = 1 kill)

4. Find a COMFORTABLE and CONSISTENT duo partner. Notice I said to find a comfortable duo partner. If you're not comfortable with your partner, you will be making mistakes and extra time for your decision making. You also need a consistent partner who does not have roller coaster games of 20+ kills followed by 1 kill + 10 deaths. It is so much more easier gaining ELO with a GOOD duo partner.

5. Be motivating Have an AFK? Have ragers? The way to reach a kid is through encouragement. Tell em they're doing fine and tell em that you will win. Works every time..

6.Timing Time your lanes summoner spells. Buffs. Dragons. Baron.

7.Mana Know your enemy's mana costs for skills and when they do not have enough for a full combo, go all in.

8. Minions is life Laning vs skillshot champs like Blitz? Position yourself behind minions accordingly everytime he tries to flank you for a pull. Play merry-go-round around the caster minions. About to get ganked 2v1 or 3v2 and have no where to escape? Mark your territory with your minions and get ready to kite around them. You'd be surprise how many more fights you will win.

 

ADC is amazing in silver, it's what I main, and even in the tank meta, i usually don't struggle too much. I feel i can perform consistently well playing ADC, but when i look at my win% with them, i just have to laugh at how shit it is.

But yeah, orbwalking, looked at a video on how to do it (using certain keys or something idk) any idea you could quickly summ up how to do it?

Point 4 - I've never been able to get anyone to duo with, the people i know IRL that play league aren't even level 30
Point 5 - I already try to do that 83% of the time.
Point 6- I do drag+baron timers, plus buffs every now and then, but very very rarely summoner spells, could be useful i guess.
Point 7 - Great idea that i've never really considered, may have to start using this, maybe have a chart on my iPad that i can easily look at.

 

Two types of Orbwalking

1. (Easiest) When you're getting chased by brusier or trying to orbwalk around a champ that has skill shots. Right click to move + press 'A' at the position. Doing this, you will move and attack.

2. (Harder) When you're getting chased by multiple champs/minions/etc and need to focus on 1 squishy target. Basically, you manually run+ right click the target, but you have to do this fast. Takes a lot of practice and you must be comfortable with your mouse settings to execute this properly.

P6: In addition to timing objectives, make sure you take advantage of the timers. Be ready to take the buffs/dragon the moment it spawns (safely). If you have their summoner's timed and yours are up, then take advantage and all in fight if you know you can win with the extra barrier/heal on your side.
P7: Some fun/important ones I love are Thresh Hook (80 mana at all levels) and Blitzcrank Pull (120 mana at all levels).
