Tips & advice on driving test

As Driving Test, I mean the Real Behind the Wheel Driving Test. My last test, and my first test, I got -18 errors. -6 from backing section. -10 on turns. -1 on lane change and -1 on business/residential bla bla bla.

-9 traffic checks and -1 yield on turns
    -6 backing. ( traffic check and signaling & can't back straight )

Those are the most important flaws for when I'm taking my test. I am constantly forgetting to look back or think that its not necessary to not look back but I don't know why. I got -1 yield from when leaving the DMV. There was a car in front of me and when he left, I accelerated and did a complete stop behind the pedestrian walk and looked left/right and once again. One of my teachers who work in the office told me that they automatically fail you if you slowed down or did not complete stop so I didn't want to fail. I didn't yield to check cars both ways, instead I stopped then yielded which was a -1. On backing section, I didn't know what to do and what the examiner wanted me to do exactly. Because I was nervous, I didn't check my speed so I got marked for -1 speed and forgot to signal to park on curb, and correct me if i'm wrong; am I suppose to look back behind my shoulders to look for any pedestrians/bikers before parking on curb? IE: I signal, traffic check & look back behind my shoulder for bikes/pedestrians ( no bike lane ) and then park in curb. Okay so then I was really nervous and failed to reverse but the examiner was nice and gave me another try and I failed it again. I forgot to traffic check, signal so I got -2 after I left the curb. So, I need some advice
when to traffic check, not being nervous, and reverse straight please.

Simply put upon pulling up to an intersection as soon as he tells you which way to turn use the "blinkers" and look left then right and then the opposite way of which your going one more time and then continue on the designated route. A key figure in this equation is if he tells you to take a left or right before reaching the intersection he wants you to turn your blinkers on before reaching it and use your blinkers before slowing down. NEVER slow down and then use your blinkers cause that may yield a point. Another thing i can say is make use of all your mirrors make the examiner think your looking into all your mirrors. Also the last thing i can tell you is if you go into the DMV nervous you will fail automatically. Go in with confidence and you shall succeed. Good Luck.

I took it and passed recently.
And also heres a tip, NO ENERGY drinks. Well doesn't relate to you, but it took me 4 tries. 3 of them i drank a redbull/monster and failed. :x I decided not to the 4th time and passed.

Well you need more training. You gotta keep training until your used to looking back while you back-out. This is fundamental, when your car is on reverse, your always going to need to look backwards not forward.

Dont try to score perfect, know that you will make mistakes. If you make a mistake, just fix it if you can and forget about it. A big problem i had was after making a mistake, i will ponder about it. Don't ponder about it, whats done is done and keep moving forward to try and complete the exam.

And during observing, move your body to exaggerate so your examiner will think your looking and observing intently.

Practice more also, practice makes perfect.

Well I always, always, always use my turn signals before making a left or right turn or even changing lanes, but sometimes I forgot cause of lack of confidence and nervousness and I seem to forget. It seems that in my mind, I'm about to use the blinkers but then am thinking that I shouldn't. I think the only times I forgot to use my blinkers when entering, exiting when parking on curb. I was thinking of putting up some music very low and taking xanax to make myself seem calm, less nervous or any pill will do.

Are you serious, you taken your driving test over 3 times and fourth time passed? Here in California, You are allowed to have 3 tests and if you fail on your 3rd try, your permit is taken away from you and you must retake the test and wait 6mo. and redo. My test is in 1 week and I did not practice backing section. I figured that sometimes my examiner doesn't see me and marks me down for traffic check..
