Tipping waiters/waitresses

We almost never see tips, and this is in 'Murica. The main reason is probably because our service charge that we call "discreet" (lol) is so extortionate.

 

I feel like I over tip all the time.. the reason is because of my father. He would always leave generous tips for the waiters. I would always respect that and that is what I do.

After watching the video... it opened my eyes... but ill still probably tip

After working in the industry, I almost cannot bring myself to tip less than 20%

There's just a portion of people that don't do it, I agree that there should be some change.. but until then... it's what we got lol. $4 min server wage is a joke

 

i usually tip 20%. Really just depends on the service of the waiter/waitress. Some of them are happy to "serve you" some of them act like they hate life. If the service is good then you get a tip. If you are rude and the service sucks ill tip the hostess.
