PayPal - We need more information from you

So I called PayPal earlier and spoke with an agent. I'm forgetting what exactly he said, but he told me something along the lines that my PayPal got randomly flagged by some governmental regulation agency or program (US) and that this is completely normal. Anyways, these are what what I have to submit:

• Organization and Payment Information - Please provide us with information about your business.
• Membership Information - Please provide proof of professional licenses or trade memberships for your industry

I mostly use PayPal to buy/sell gold on Sythe. To resolve this, I have to submit legal, valid, and legible documents. I was wondering if you guys could recommend or advise me on what I should do here. Buying/selling gold is something I kinda do in my spare time/as a hobby; it's not like other real and legitimate businesses out there. I don't think I can simply write to them and say, "Hey, I just flip Runescape gold on a blackmarket forum occasionally lol." -.-

 

I think I had to send them picture of a of bill to verify my address and my document just to remove receiving limits and I did it. If you changed your name on PayPal to work under company's name for example Heads Gold Shop they might ask you to provide proof of company existence

 

Yeah I also had to do this a while ago in order to remove my sending/receiving limits or whatever, but this is different =/

 

What is the status of your account? Business, Personal?

It's because you're registered as "nonprofit"

It might also have to do something with the fact that you list yourself as a business when, I think, you really aren't one. Just call them up and ask someone for advice. Can't make things worse at this point really .

 

Nonprofit means charity and that's what they want you to prove. What organization your collecting for and where the money/charity is registered to and located....

 

If I were you I'd call up paypal what they need for a full verification EXACTLY.

There is a chance you'll need to get some of those papers, which could be an issue since the dates then don't match.

That is why they are hounding you. My account is personal, and I've never received such requests.

 

Just switch to a personal account.

 

You're registered as a business and Non profit, however you spend the money you make freely and that must've red flagged your account. tell them that you're not a nonprofit organization, and that you would like your account to be reverted back to a personal as making your paypal a business account was a mistake. that's the only way to get out of this without having the proper documents. I wish you luck on them even reverting your account back to personal, as sometimes they love to throw a bitch fit close your account and fuck you over. lol
