Thread lock / New thread inquiry

I currently have an account for sale so locking my thread isn't something I need to do, yet I'm curious as to how/when I can and would need to do this. I'm in the process of training up a new account, so hypothetically if I sell the account in the current listed thread how do I go about locking the thread?

it states, You may not have more than 1 thread in this section, if you have multiple accounts to sell that fit in this section, post them all in one account shop thread

If I were to sell another account after the current one is sold, do I need to completely edit the old thread with the new account or could I lock the old thread and create a new one providing all the postings on the old thread would be irrelevant?

Sorry if this drags on, just want advice on what to do. Ultimately, should I edit the current thread to an account selling thread, lock my old thread (if I find out how) and create a new one, or am I allowed to choose from either option? Thanks!

 

You can't lock your own threads. What you'd be asked to do is "report" your first/last post in your thread and ask for the thread to be locked if the account is sold. Either that or leave the thread inactive (don't bump it) and create a new one once you have finished a new account.

If you finish accounts quite quickly after each other (meaning within like a month) you might aswell create one thread to be your "account shop". This should be made if the accounts look a like of course, if you're selling a pure 3-99 and a main 80+ account you can just post both in a different thread in the right section.
