So I've recently became hooked on a new type of pure after the prayer update made me want to make a new account.
The 35 def pure.
I know most people know that you can have barrow gloves at 35 defense... but you also are allowed the best hybriding armour in the game if you get 85 agility.
Agile Legs require 85 agility - 80 if you use summer pies at the start of each of the 250 laps you must complete without failing.
These laps do not have to be in a row, ie you can fall on the 10th lap and still have 9 laps of of 250.
Agile top requires 90, and can be summer pie'd with 85.
The legs give +25 all def, the top gives +40 WITH NO NEGATIVE ATTACK BONUSES.
That is equivalent to void armour -5, except no boring pc.
and here is my favorite part.
You have an infinite supply of it.
Just go back to the course to retrieve it if you die.
This can also be combined with the Ram Skull helmet (with 31 prayer), which is the same as the addy full/pros helmet, but no negative mage attack and free to retreive on death.
Also with the addy berserker shield, zamorak book, mage cape, and addy def.
making untradable pking back.
Simply make a run back to all the places each time you die (5 minutes tops?)
In my opinion this is what the berserker pure was made to be - an account with barrows gloves and untradables.
12-10 ruined untradables so that was the first step, pvp worlds required risk as the second step, rfd was nerfed to 35 def to complete - as the third.
The last being the release of of instant skulls and a set of armour that is free to retreive - almost back to back.
The era of 35 def has begun.
