Thoughts on Windows 10 surveillance?

Now, I'm not really talking about your porn habits; but if you're trying to do anything along the lines of DNM (or anything of that nature),I would avoid Windows, download Tails on a USB, and use that to do other activities. Even if you're running a VPN and going through the likes of Tor, Windows isn't a secure OS.

I do not think any of this snooping really matters to your average person. As dumb as the "I don't have anything to hide" argument is (your privacy should be respected), there is a point. Average people do not care if their privacy is infringed upon.

I'm not too bothered by it, the most I do online that's illegal or that would illicit any concern is pirate movies/vidya games/programs.

If Microsoft reports that to the feds, then I guess I'll do my time, although I doubt it would come to that.

I'd use Linux in a heartbeat, and honestly during the year I use it more than Windows anyway, but for anything like video editing, mixing, graphic design, games...Windows is the one. If it were more practical to switch between OSs on the same computer it'd be different, but unfortunately it's too much of a hassle to switch just for when you need certain tasks done.

I was looking for a way to block their viewpoints on my machine, don't even hesitate to do this as it also provides advanced speeds due to reduction of exhausted mechanic hardware.
