Thoughts on spending money on skins

Not true. I bought a car, it is now worth less than half what I bought it for.

I bought a knife, it is now worth more than what I bought it for.

I bought neither as investments, I bought them because I like to use them.

Your car is not a classic car lol. A normal car will depreciate in value.

 

It's not really an issue if you're paying for the skins to trade and make money off them. People make thousands of dollars off it.

 

very true, i myself have around 2-3k in skins. ) i got lucky and got a few as drops

 

I like seeing people start off with like 1 dollars inventory and build it up to hundreds. It's pretty sick.

 

I'm a Kato 14 collector and I see it as a slight investment whilst at the same time I get enjoyment out of using the skins I have. You just have to be aware that like stocks, one day they could have $0 value (unlikely, more likely a gradual decline in value over time), and to be conscious of how much you spend.

 

I do like the idea of skins and there are some I'd really like but I can't bring myself to pour money into it. The few skins I've had I get to itch to gamble and lose them.

 

Only for gambling i wouldnt buy them for the fashionscape

 

haha it is addicting and when you realize there is better skins, you wanna gamble them but youll lose them, it is very addicting ahhaa

thats the point of the thread, to discuss about it, rather than just have an opinion bland as "its your money, do whatever you want with it", even though that really is the case.

It really depends. Are you looking to gamble away your skins or are you looking to keep them? If your actually going to play with them I recommend getting one skin and using it throughout all your games. If you are going to gamble them buy multiple cheap skins and gamble them away slowly. This way you can pull out at any time knowing you still have a lot of money in skins.

 

Lately, I noticed that there are more and more skin trading platforms have been opened. The first one, that I stumbled upon - Sell CS:GO Skins - Get Instant Payment | Skins.cash. Tried to cash out my skins there - got some quick bucks...I know for sure that therea re more services like this one, but I haven't tried them though...Maybe some of you, guys, can advise me another service?

 

If you buy the skins to show off it's okay. If you buy it so you can look at nice skins then it's a complete waste because you could just get a skinchanger (which is illegal,but can't be detected by vac)
