    Thoughts on rates crashing?

I've been noticing lower rares crashing hard lately such as hween and Santa hats thinking about dropping some cash for a Santa but having my doubts seeing the prices of them dropping so hard?

I know some reasons that cause this such as bots, inflation, nerfed (that one mini game can't think of it)was a good 3m+ hr botting there.
Anyway,I don't see rares going back up to much in the next couple months seeing as QBD is coming as well it'll make them drop even more.

All in all I'm thinking I should just keep using money to get more money rather than a rare even though I'd like one.
Discuss think rares are dying or maybe they'll spring back up eventually?

Edit:Sorry on iPod might be some misteaks In there ;p

If rares like santas are crashing, I would invest into them if I had the money. In the long run they will rise, in the short run, who knows..we have seen the santa hat, halloween masks fluctuate a lot.

my decision: I would buy a santa or red/blue halloween mask as you will make money from it

I'd say to invest in a santa because 'in the long run you'll profit', but Runescape history has taught us that this could mean in the long, long, long run :p

For example, if you bought a santa 6 months ago, they were 160m. Today they're around 88m, so that wasn't exactly a good investment :p

If you want a rare just to have a rare, I'd honestly say go for it. I'm getting a partyhat soon, and I don't care about crashing prices :)

At the moment I couldn't even say that santas are safe because they won't go below 80m ... because that's what people said weeks ago:

"They won't go below 100m guys, be reasonable!"

"... they won't go below 90m guys, come on"

The rares market really is a gamble now :(

That being said, buying lower rares for very short-term flipping is quite effective, I've made a few million GP off that in the past week with little to no work involved.

Sorry this post is kind of a mess, haha.

You are wise to keep the cash to invest in other items. The returns from these rares are not that great at all.

But if you are going to be away for a long period of time, I say a rare is the safest investment for you.
