Thoughts about Nuke 2016

Hey,

I was wondering what you think about the new Nuke? I like it so far, but I don't really like the new way outside to heaven. It's kinda being a T sided map now imo.

Looks much cleaner

 

I played it last night. It's really bad in my opinion. You can legit get flanked from anywhere because it's a maze in the map.

 

Optimization is trash, I average 250-300+ fps on any given map while streaming, nuke I average 150, and after factoring in smokes, less than 100.

The new catwalk/heaven side changes were completely unnecessary.

The walls.... Dear God the walls. Everything can be spammed. It's a complete shit show.

B site changes are interesting, I'm still indifferent/indecisive as to how I feel about it

A site changes to the rafters I don't like, removing the ability to circle all the way around the rafters took away a lot from the CT side.

In total, the map was ruined with this overhaul in many different aspects, and I'm not fond of it at all. It's train all over again.

 

I played it once upon release, and will never add it to my competitive queue. I'm more of a simplistic map kind of guy, and revamping a map which imo was one of the best pre-update was silly.

 

I prefer the old Nuke map. I do appreciate the modern feel they brought to it but some of the changes were too drastic IMO.
