    Hey Guys,

I recently bought a raspberry pi B+. I wanted to connect it with TV, but I didn't find any suitable OS.

Do you know any OS that plays videos smoothly and run browser without lagging and crashing? It's really annoying :(

Thank you for any tips ^_^

You're going to run into some issues. The 3 that just came out could probably do this fine on Raspbian, but otherwise you're sort of out of luck. If you know your shit you could try setting up an Arch system. That's your best bet, but it's not easy. I wouldn't even touch Lubuntu. The B+ simply doesn't have the power for it.

Others that may be worth a try:
    TinyCore
    Pidora
Pibang <- I've heard good things about this one

You're trying to run videos on a machine that has a 700MHz processor and 512MB of RAM. You'll run into difficulties.

Ty for your help, I appreciate it and will try those.
If it doesn't help I will consider another use of that PI... or buy another one and have someone to connect them together for me.

The B+ is good for projects, but if you want a media centre I'd try a 3.

A lot of people use Kodi, I never used my pi for a media player but that is what everyone recommends. Pi 3 is worth the buy it has a considerable boost in running videos and playing emulators. With a little overclock you can get a little bit of extra juice and only need a heat sink to cool it out of a case.
