Thought on Faker senpai?

Is he really the god that the community makes him out for?

I personally think he is one of the most talented mid players in the world hence the worlds victory.

Wouldn't say he's god but his mechanics very good compare to his other Korean mid laners.

 

I didn't even realise this topic was debatable.

His mechanical Skill is unmatched, he pioneered a lot of champs that otherwise didn't see play, not only that but he played them at a level that made them look top tier.

He's incredible in solo queue being able to adapt and even mentally above most other players being able to read what they're going to do and when. He can also play on a 5's team without being a greedy solo queue like player and does his job and what's needed of him.

Like seriously, very few people i'd say were even close to his level, not only that but it's ALL aspects of league he seems to be mastering here.

I don't think so, honestly.

Faker is confident, he knows he's on top and he knows that currently, nobody has a chance to take that from him. He's in his youth and his brain and reaction skills are peaked. Being in a game house, there are no distractions and the money from sponsors, championships, etc means that he's living a stress-free life.

There are some pro youtubers who analyze Faker plays. I always thought Faker was overhyped (his team is good, not specifically Faker), but then I saw the play analyses.

His ability to spot opportunities that are literally things I would never consider.... Wow. In the game that got his team to the finals, a teamfight broke and the specific decisions he made within a 10 second teamfight. D-a-y-u-m. For example, his Q as Ahri came off cooldown, and instead of hitting the enemy Corki, he hit the wave of 6 minions that was walking into the tower. He then ulted to the side so his return Q would hit Corki.

Why?
1) Corki had a Negatron cloak so that outgoing Q did minimal damage to him
2) Sending it out against 6 minions means the spellvamp from his passive would maximize the heal. He was very low HP, and Corki could have 1-shot him with an auto if this was the case
3) Ulting to the side instead of at Corki directly means his true damage Q hits Corki
4) the positioning put him out of Corki's autoattack range so his Foxfire could kill Corki and still stay out of autoattack range


This was all within 2 seconds, and seriously I would have never considered any of it. All of us would have just Q'ed Corki and hoped it would do enough damage. He had enough control of his plays that all of the micromanaged steps in the play meant the best decision possible.
