Calling music bad.

Who gets annoyed when someone calls music bad, just because they don't like it? There are different genres of music and many bands are good in their own ways. The only music that I would class as bad is music that is extremely out of tune, but trying to be in tune (out of tune on purpose can be funny).

 

I smell a hypocrite.

hypocrisy is in human nature, but there is actually a point where music can become bad :L but generally when people say music is bad they just don't like the song personally

 

Yeah I can respect most music regardless if I like it or not.. stuff like brokencyde is an exception.

 

i hate it to i dont know why people on youtube flame the fuck outa songs they don't like. if you don't like a song you shouldnt be looking it up on youtube...

I do get annoyed when people start complaining about my music. My most used response is "At least I don't listen to mainstream horsesh*t that everyone else listens to." By that I mean, music without meaning. It's simply made for the masses to love and pay money to listen to, like Lil Wayne for example. His music is just awful in my opinion. It has no real meaning behind it, just money, and I can't stand it.

 

Yes... i know what you mean, just because its not their genre or style of music they say its bad.

Music is different for everyone's choice, it DOES NOT mean that it's bad and that your a wierd for listening to it, I mean i dislike a few genre's like 'Classical' but if somebody who I know likes it, im not gonna go up to them and go "Wow you listen to that your a freak" At the end of the day everyone has their taste in music, and I have a friend who thinks that the only music he listens to is good, he dislikes most music I like and I dislike most music he likes, I don't say to him "your music taste is bad" if somebody likes it, then im sure they'res others that do too. Exact same thing with Politics and Religion, everyone is always gonna argue on what they think is best because they think think is for them. Your never gonna win an arguement about it and neither is the other person, so there is just no point in argueing about it in the first place, it's just gonna cause a pointless arguement over something your both wrong about in the same way to the other person. Meh I ranted enough, but I hope everyone understands that if it's your choice and they're into something different, let them be, dont criticize the other person about it, your both believing in different things so therefore the conversations should just be avoided, the sooner everybody else understands this the better and less arguements will be caused.

 

People just like to talk shit. I personally hate rap and hip hop or whatever people call it. I won't say it's bad music without specifying that it's my opinion, but I hate it. It's like the only thing they have to talk about is sex, drugs, money, and gang bangin. Occasionally there's a good rapper or whatever that mixes it up.. but 99 percent of that stuff is garbage, in my opinion.

Most of his lyrics are pretty pretentious about himself, but rightfully so. He's got incredible flow and most of his songs have great basslines (quite a few were done by Flea from RHCP) and beats.

There are naturally badly-designed songs, thus making it bad. But naturally, I hate when people hate on something because it doesn't satisfy them. Everyone is different, and people need to acknowledge that simple fact.

 

Most of the music industry today is mostly untalented and overrated artists. They get the most fame and money, while others who are a 100x more talented don't get the recognition they deserve. I don't talk shit about other artists, but it's still annoying how bad most of today's music is.

 

Makes no sense. What if they heard of XXX by YYY, decided to listen to it and decided it fucking sucks? They're obviously gonna state that it fucking sucks along with all the fanboys saying "Ohhh YYY please smd irl!"
