    This is why I stayed inside!
    So I moved across to North QLD Australia in late Jan this year and next few days got totally owned by a CAT 4/5 Cyclone.

    Lost power for a few days in a new apartment with only my best mate..No water or anything..

    A month later I get stuck in massive floods (again in QLD) - my motorbike got swept away.. FML.. and the neighbour lost their cat. Almost got swept away myself.. Paww cat I know.

    Now im in South West Western Australia on holiday to surf and such and massive fires have boxed us in (20 houses so far have been destroyed)..

    This is why I stay inside. Has anyone else been in crazy weather/events that make you wish - DAM i just wanna be on the couch/computer chillin at home.

    Live in South Korea and the weather is whack over here.
    Our main tourist attractions are flooded yearly (think of Time Square being flooded.) This year, we got a sudden mass downpour of rain.
    I was about to hike up a nearby mountain to take pics but my mom wouldn't let me out.
    A bit later, there was a landslide on that mountain and it was all over the news

    Had I hiked up that mountain that day, I would have been dead.

    Sorry to hear about your motorbike loss though, did the insurance company pay up?

    lived in vic for 9 years and qld for the last 10.

    i was/am living in brisbane during the floods, everywhere around where i was living was flooded, literally 100m down the road each way. thankfully not my place or any friends places. i was renting anyway :p

    Kansas has pretty bipolar weather, 120 degree summers, -20 winters, but as far as big national disasters go, not much besides the obvious tornadoes. We've had a bit of flooding recently ( Not anyone near where i live ) but thats all I can think of.

    note to self don't go to austraila lol, don't get to bad of weather here, but sometimes we'll get hit with some type of bs wind or somin that causes a tree to fall on powerlines

    I live in Alabama and my house was destroyed by a f5 tornado. Before the tornados it snowed 14 inches (Never snows in the south). Other than that the random temperature changes suck, yesterday the high was like 49 today it was 73. crazy stuff
