This is the problem with the name sales section.

i don't feel the need to add anything else for C. The above post covers 80% of the selling threads atm.

What's the point of creating a thread saying you're buying a name? The name SALES section should be about name SALES. If you want to buy a name, PM the person selling.

More moderators would help reduce the spam. Aside from that, rules need to be made about making threads solely for buying names.

 

Yeah, it seems like there needs to be a place specifically for buying names. The only other alternative I see is that you'd need something to redirect people to the search bar.

 

Possibly a "read and accept" page before allowing newcomers to post. Therefore they're forced to read through the rules/how to tell your name is rare topic before making a post. As well as a warning such as "Unable to follow these rules may result in a warning/suspension" so they actually READ it.

Doesn't make sense to split it. Account sales have threads both for buying accounts and selling accounts. Imo if someone has a thread up saying they're buying names without any specific things they're looking for, that seems fine to me for them to have that thread

 

I've been reporting threads/stupid shit left and right, it seems to be moderated fine in my opinion, as @Dunworry said, it's just due to the name release. After it is done, all the retardation should (hopefully) die down.

 

My suggestion:

Filter all names content into one thread - my thread. This will create a perfect utopia in which everybody benefits, least of all me.

 

Point A: not sure what your pointing out here. Feel free to jump in and help them out with price checking it

Point B: staff are courts not police. If you see somebody rule breaking report the post and it will be dealt with

Point C: its a free market people are allowed to sell what they want. Just because you see no value in it it dosent make it wrong. If somebody is using this to spam posts then report it

Point D: its just another means of communication if interest. If I state i want to buy the name "runecraft" but whoever owns it is not on sythe i might get a message from somebody who owns "runecrafters" that im interested in

 

Yet a lot of people are still unhappy with the current state of name sales. Many rule reforms have been suggested, but the easiest way to clean it up is to just make people read the rules before posting. I don't see how anybody could disagree with reading rules being made a requirement.

 

I dunno, rare Is so subjective. me personally, I could care that something like a one digit could go for 3-4b osrs, while I would prefer a 2 digit for the market rate, any time and any day.

 

Honestly I don't really see a huge need for this.
