I mean only way you would pardon someone is if you believe they have changed and/or if you trust them to an extent. All thats left is activity and maturity.

Two type of people get pardoned: Those who got banned for little stupid shit and those who the staff already know. The first group doesn't get staff. The second group does. Not because they were pardoned, but because they are known. That's what it really comes down to.

It also helps that if they were pardoned, the staff think higher of them than others or they wouldn't have been pardoned in the first place.

No body knew who I was when I got banned. I didn't post in the community and only did petty sales until late 2011. I think my promotion had more to do with the OGV.
