My friend paid for 6 months membership, one week before the wilderness was removed. When he paid for that membership, he intended on pk'ing the most of that 6 months, so he wasted all that money. They should have at least given us warning.

And if Runescape still had the wilderness, i'd still be playing. But i've quit because its shit now.

 

He only wasted that money if he quit after. He could have used the 6 months to further other skills/talents that he had in the game.

Based on your name it's sort of conceivable that you make a lot of speculations....In all my years of playing RS on and off, I have never seen the player count hit 200K+ regularly. Furthermore, i wouldn't be so quick to say Jagex is losing money, gift shops and runefest wouldn't generate enough income to pay half the salaries of the employees....

 

Someone should key his Porsche and put a a few nails in his tires and give him a haircut at the same time.. He probable resigned because of the popularity that went down from all of his changes.. Now I have the info to give to my hitman.. Read the paper in the morning.

 

LOL you know. i dont really ask for the wilderness back anymore. all i ask for is normal drops. no pvp drops. if i kill a guy wearing a fury. i want that fucking fury. meaning 0 ep or 99999999999 ep, im getting that fury lol. thats what pisses me off the most. the rest idc, i think that being able to pvp in every spot in the runescape world is fking awesome. i can go to feldip hills and find botters with 10k+ red chins and k0 them but i just want those 10k chins >.<

 

Yeah, the wilderness is pretty much back, except for the drops, I guess everyone just has to deal with that, let the guy live normally, it's a game after-all, don't treat it like it's life.

But yeah, PVP is not that bad. You can PK like you used to, but you just gotta live with the shitty drops

 

He did worse than just remove the wildy and free trade, he has probably damaged runescape's long term profitability.

Look at how many free players are online now compared to the amount of members. A few years ago free worlds would be full of players, now there is never a time when more than 1 free world is more than half full.

Because of his policies on membership, including those annoying video adverts on free worlds, runescape has seen a huge decline in the amount of new free players, so when the existing members move on, there will be no one to replace them.

To be honest, i liked it the way it used to be, i was a bit ragey, like most, when they removed wildy. I quit for a few years and came back. I got used to teh dea, It's not sooo bad once you get used to it.
