2 week ban for RWT

I just logged in to my rs account to find out my account has been banned. At first i thought it was over but when i checked my account status, it said i'm only banned for 2 weeks, and that i will get my account back in 13 days.
Now i was wondering, will my account's bank get wiped? If yes, gf 140m

Edit: the offence was a real world trading minor, i only bought gp on this account, never sold.

I don't think they wipe accounts any more, but anything is possible.

 

They do remove the gold from accounts if its proven to be RWT but i believe its a case by case basis and isn't really done 100% of the time.

Whats more concerning is the fact that you actually got caught, usually gold buyers are safe from RWT bans. who did you buy the gold from?

 

They most likely won't wipe your account. Don't worry. How much gp did you buy?

 

Yeah, i was surprised aswell. I bought the gold yesterday from one of divica's workers, so they acted pretty fast too.

About 140m 07gp, and 170m rs3.

 

This is the main reason i try my hardest not to buy gold from the big resellers, they have targets on their backs.

 

What do you mean with 'they have targets on their backs'?
Also, i have contacted the person that sold me the gold, and they said none of their accounts were banned.

 

Is there nobody that has been in the same situation that can help me? Still didnt get a clear and correct answer.

 

Ive traded a few 100m through bogla and various users on sythe the past few weeks off the same ips and accounts. The only thing is they all have +50 quest points and good stats. Im wondering if jagex only bans people who are making koney off them and not actually playing the game. I dont really know to be honest.

 

This is not the case, since i bought the gp to play the game, maybe stake a bit with it. The account 1 bought the gp on has 1200+ total level and 99 cooking.

 

Thats weird man. I do notice people hang around the gold sellers in game and looks really sketchy to them when we go trade lvl 3s maybe they report

 

No idea, i went to the location, traded the account (which was a lvl30 ish) and left. I'd be surprised if someone reported me.
It is indeed very weird, since rwt bans only seem to happen very rarely, and only with big gold sellers, not buyers.
But oh well, we will see if ill still have my money on the account in 2 weeks :/

Well, not to mention that 170M 07 in one trade is suspicious in itself.

 

You will likely have a portion, if not all of it, wiped. Be glad its only a 14 day ban

 

I've received a 2 week RWT minor ban in the past, the 800m RS3 on the account was wiped, but the 25m 07 was still there.

 

That's surprising.. usually they only go after the big buyers & sellers
