Thinking of getting back into botting, any tips?

Which clients and bots to run?

Willing to put in time for questing and training, just looking to see if there's any stable bot clients and which places have low ban rates.

I know literally EVERYTHING about 07, was a junky back in the day and that ish is forever burned into my memory.

    OSBot
    RobotzinDisguise
    TriBot

These i believe are the most common 07 bots

Personally I've been using OSBot since I got back into botting myself. I was very similar to yourself, still have perfect memories of that era so getting back into 07 was smooth I was just unfamiliar with current bots. OSBot is incredibly simple to use, as there's lots and lots of free scripts so you don't have to pay to access anything (unlike TriBot where only VIPs/Premium members can use the oldschool bots). Robotz In Disguise is also free at the moment I think, although once it's all deemed ready it'll become premium.

I'd definitely recommend OSBot if you do decide to start getting back into botting 07.

I use Tribot a lot but I hear nothing but good things about Osbot. I don't know what you want to do, so I can't recommend what bots to use. Whatever you do, don't bot rock crabs, experiments or hunter because they are nearly instant bans.

RiD you can only bot with one client right? Unless you use that ghost mouse thing or whatnot.

Are OSBot/Tribot similar to Rsbuddy/Rsbots in a sense? (One browser = multiple bots)

I still have my beastly computer from the glory days of botting (i7/16G RAM/etc) so running multiple accounts won't be a problem

For RID, I think you can only have one bot per client. For Tribot you can have one client, many bots. Keep in mind that to run Tribot you need to buy vip which is about $6-7 per month. I don't know what Osbot is like.

OSBot allows one bot per client, or multiple bots per client if you're VIP. However you can simply open multiple clients to bot multiple accounts without buying VIP.

OSBot and TriBot are hands down the best.
    Check them out.
Ban rates are highish at some of the more abused locations. Just practice safe botting methods.

You can run one of each of RiD's bots at a time. You can use Virtual Machines (there's a new guide on the site that is even easier to use) to minimize the bot.

They offer bots for both RS3 and OSRS, and will be adding many more bots to the OSRS lineup in the near future. There's still yet to be any bans in OSRS.

Please ignore the falsely and poorly researched facts of Trent! here...

Tribot is no longer the top dog, I hear it has poor random support compared to OSbot, when on the other hand is 100% free. Just don't use scripts in areas with high ban rates. Trent here claims that RiD never gets any bans, which is based off what his God "RiD" tells him. RiD DOES however have low number of bans, but just look at the places it supports.. places with low ban rates in the first place it's not like you see any rid flaxpickers(They claim their anti-goldfarming but who would want to use rid to goldfarm, it would cost money to use their flax picking script and then they would have to run 1/3 as many bots as a client because of a VM)

So yea use OSbot is low ban-rate places.

Just to correct a few statements here, as he obviously knows nothing about RiD, and even posted a fake banned thread just to try and deface RiD's reputation. If you think I'm poorly researched, then please provide your OWN research, as I've yet to see anything even close yet.

Since the 2.0 beta platform has been released last October, there has not been any bans. There has been a small amount of bans BEFORE this platform was released. There has also never been any bans whatsoever on OSRS using RiD, even with as many Guideline breakers and Suiciders as there are. Now whilst it is theoretically possible to receive a ban whilst breaking the Guidelines (http://www.robotzindisguise.com/Guidelines.htm), we've yet to see that happen in OSRS. Notice I am not saying it will never happen, I am saying that it has not happened yet.

Think about this concept really quick. Divination bots from Powerbot have very quickly shown to be a very high ban rate. The Divination bot from RiD has been run for over 50 hours at a time by myself and many others without issues. This includes botting in crowded worlds where P Mods are present. Even if there were a couple bans, that's still very impressive given the fact that practically any other divination bot has received a plethora of bans.

Anyway, obviously choose whichever bot site fits your needs the most, as generally each has their own pros and cons, depending on what your botting intentions are.

To simplify the pros/cons of RiD for ya:

    Pros:
Old School bots are currently free while they're in beta
RiD is a professional programmer with a Bachelor's degree in Comp Sci + Math
RiD's primary focus is the safety of your account
Using Unique Styles every person's bot behaves differently
Blackbox security means no one, not even Jagex can access the source code of the decision making processes, meaning Jagex can't fight RiD on a code level.
RiD's goal is a bot for every skill, for both OSRS and RS3
Purchasing credits gives you access to ALL of the bots, not just one
The community can be incredibly helpful (if you ignore the trolls lol) and many will go out of their way to make sure you manage to get your bot running properly

    Cons:
    Requires VM to minimize
Only run 1 of each bot at a time
Requires credits (e.g. pay as you bot) instead of one-time purchase
    One developer
    No paint
Cannot write your own bots (RiDiverse runs on presets you can make, but that's not quite the same thing at all)

Please please please take the RiD argument out of here.

TriBot and OSBot are both Java based and use injection/reflection so you'll (in general) find the best working/longest running scripts there.

They also allow for multiple instances and have tabbed interface.

They are both hands down the two best RS07 bots.

Shame the botting community has boiled down to this, what I would give to go back to the glory days of RSBuddy/RSBots...

Anywho, thanks for the input guys, jumped straight into botting when OSRS was first released, got manually banned at the cammy flax fields by a jmod and IP banned (Lost ~$300 RSGP total, but it was mainly my fault since 75% of that was in flax and I was too lazy to sell it, never realized how convenient the GE was)

Will be much more cautious this go around, will most likely be checking out OSBot/Tribot for the ease of their interface and may use RiD/SIMBA if they offer something more intriguing that OS/Tri don't offer
