Thinking about joining the military

Luckily it's illegal for them to lie.

Unfortunately it's impossible to catch them in it.


The only way you can get your recruiter fucked is if you've served before.


Listen to what they say carefully, tell them what you want, don't let them set papers up without you there, don't sign anything until you completely read it, and do not agree to anything you do not want.

It's their job to get you in, no matter what. They get paid a certain amount for the number of people they recruit, as well as a pay advance.

SO yeah, you'll see what Shawn and Shredda mean.

I would not do it if I were you, unless you want money for college after you serve some years. My teacher of biology has told us many stories of how he used to be in the army during the Vietnam war... It sounded horrible. THe army generals torture you just because they can, you are forced to run with boots on and a heavy ass helmet that bangs against your head with every step. You get 2 pairs of boots which you must change daily, and if you do a morning shift and they become dirty then you have to wear them for checkup and you wll get punished for having dirty boots. You will get canned food that has been preserved from World War 2 or 1, with layers of old fat on top. You will lose most feelings humans have, but yeah you will become pretty tough.

 

theres a problem with that....the leader your teacher worked with was probably fired for dissorderly conduct, and this is 2008 not 1980's.....And I am not listening to what recruiters are saying only to what my instincts tell me.

Joining the Army is like asking to be shot.

 

Recently an RAAF recruiter came to our Squadron, he showed us about 1 hour of video clips, and Then for the rest he was talking about the career paths of the air force.

He made up some fake statistics about how safe it is etc, But yer Read the papers carefully.

 

I myself am a freshmen and I'm finishing up high school three more years to go and then I'm probably joining the marines takes work but I'm stepping up good luck if you join.

 

If you are even hesitating, I'd say no. I don't have the courage to join the military, and I'm not going to, but it is your choice.

 

mabye im asking to be shot? more power to every one who wants to join the military =)) any one else?

Are you in it for the right reasons? Because there are quite a few people who would join the military for no reason at all except its supposively going to get them to college.
Will you be able to cope with the stress they will give you?
Are you going to be able to shoot a kid that is about to shoot a member of your unit?
Are you psychologically stable?

Questions that you must answer. Because, sure as hell I don't want a pussy that won't shoot back, won't fight, and is crazy having my back when I join. Think this true, you might just want to the military to have a glorious death. There is no such thing, you die, you die that's it, GAME OVER. They will send you through rigorous training, you will be away from home for long periods of time.

I am not trying to keep you from joining, but I am saying what is true. But don't let that get in the way fi you really wanna join. Because, god damn sure as hell I won't because, I'm joining in 2 years, 6 days and errr....can't remember the hours :S

Which kind of soldier will you be, one that will work as your supposed to, or the one that will stop a second to think over what you're about to do morally. You have to understand, either you or them if they have a gun to your face. Will you react like a soldier, or will you react like a civilian? Again, I am not scaring you away, I'm a young recruiter(meaning I'm not enlisted but I try to get people to join), if I wanted to, I would have told you to join and told stories of glorious battles, and the glory of being a soldier. But, like I have said, there are going to be those that won't be able to function right under stress.

 

I'm back again its going to be tough and I'm starting to get better now start some training before a few years so your in good shape once you get there then the generals don't nagg you to death lol. But if you join the marines do you have to know how to do the one thing forgot what its called the shot gun performance? were its like a band and you have the guns around and throw them around.

Join ROTC its about 100k for college and you go in the army for three years after college.

 

In my country poeple who join army are welll paid , plus its the place where you become a real man . Thats my opinion tho ... anyway ... JOIN THE FORCE !
