These guides are all terrible.

Betting you know jack shit about it to be honest.

The problem is that no-one can be an expert in as many areas as they need to be. Eric knows next to nothing about computers, but I'm sure he's fine with most other areas that guides are submitted, for example.

 

Well that's why we need more users in charge of UE. For example, we would need 1-2 in charge of non-programming related guides and the miscellaneous section. Next we would need 1 in charge of all programming and all the difficult computer subjects, the minor ones could be handled by the miscellaneous leaders. I would say there needs to be at least 3 in charge of UE to attempt to bring it back to life. I believe Pen is a head of the UE section also, but he would do an excellent job, except for the fact that he is probably super busy with other things on the forum with his new found position. So I think we need about 3 in charge so the knowledge of them is well spread, and perhaps increase guide production.

I think that's the dumbest thing I've heard lately. He's a forum administrator not a tech support administrator for a network of computers. Do you honestly think that being an admin here is what keeps him extremely busy most times? He does more than enough here but it's obviously the other things that keep him really busy.

Just copy the post into a new thread and there ya go.

 

The reason sub par guides have been accepted is to get this forum active. Once we have more guides getting posted, we'll be more restrictive. Saying that, we can remove guides even if they've been already accepted. Oh, and while you bitch about the guides, why not make some. >_>
