    Granted, it means you're more active. It doesn't mean you're more trusted.

    Postcount is definietly a factor in my trust of someone. A person with high-postcount has more to lose from a banning, as high postcount often coves with an old join date and vouches.

    Not really. There have been members in the past who posted a load of times to make themselves look more trustworthy, but had a join date that was relatively new. I still stand by my assumption that post count means shit. Posting 1000 times to scam 200$ makes up for whatever that they lost.

    As much as people say that post count doesn't matter, I'm sure most of us look at these 3 criteria's when seeing if somebody is trustworthy;

    Vouches
    Post count
    Join date

    And possible ranks. I wouldn't be half as trusted as I am without the ranks I have.

    Even without your ranks I would trust you. Joined in early 08 and over 2.5k posts. If you were gonna scam you would have done it by now, you would wait 2 years and stay active here JUST to scam someone... (i hope :p )

    I dont think it has anything to do with trust.
    Its nothing apart from how often a user posts?
    But like you say ~ some people like high post counts when trading, i dont know why.

    The higher your post count, the larger your penis.

    The Value of A High Post Count

    I'd like to assume that people with an about average post count/day and a decent join date were trustworthy, but sadly that is not the case. I don't just put join date, post count, and vouches into consideration. I talk to people personally and if I get any negative vibes myself I just back out. It does have a result in a lot of discussion, but it's not a deal breaker for myself to have low post count.

    I really don't like posting, but I guess most people base everything on posting.

    ^.

    Also, I have over 1,000 posts, but I don't really consider myself more trustworthy than someone with 1 post.

    I think what is including in the post is more important than post count. But vouches obviously beat post count.
