Introduction

On January First, 2008, Jagex removed unbalanced trading from Runescape. On that day, the primary moneymaking method in Runescape - Merchanting - was destroyed.

For many, including myself, the loss of merchanting meant that they had to turn to secondary, less productive, and more boring moneymaking methods. As a free player, I had no option but to join the thousands of ex-merchants flocking to the mines and willows across Runescape.

Several thousand iron ores later, I decided that there must be something better. The Grand Exchange, which I had denounced for so long for its part in destroying the merchants, must provide some method for a clever merchant to fill and make a killing. I was determined to find it.

In March 2008, after several weeks of experimention, I found what I had been looking for. So simple, and so productive- I couldn't believe that I had not thought of it before.

Over the next gew weeks, I perfected my method as the millions effortlessly rolled in. The more money I made, the faster and easier it was to re-invest for even more, and my profits grew at an astounding rate.

When I finally bought membership after my first 25M, my profits started coming in even faster.

A month and a half after my discovery, my total value has grown to well over 120M. I now make one to three million a day on weekdays with about fifteen minutes of work a day, and up to six million per day on weekends with twice that. My daily profit grows each day, and by my calculations I will soon be one of the richest players in Runescape.

What This Guide Is Not

• Investing - AKA, buying something, waiting, and selling later for a profit.
  This is another way to make money at the GE, but it is risky and takes skill.

• Reselling - AKA, buying an item for lowest and selling for highest. The anonymous nature of using the Exchange also means that it is extremely impractical to buy an item and then be able to resell the same item for a higher price. If anyone is offering to buy an item for a higher price then what you are offering, the system will automatically pair sellers with the higher-offering buyers.
• Shop/GE "Merchanting" - AKA, buying an item from a shop or player and selling for profit in the GE. This method works, but involves so much repetitive work and so little profit that you might as well waste your time skilling instead.
• Anything to do with skilling - I hate skilling, and you could make a level 3 with no skills a millionaire with this guide. Enough said.

Alright man cool, how long did it take you to make 25M on f2p?

 

It took me about two and a half weeks to make 25M on F2P. I averaged about 10M a week in the beginning, and my weekly average increased as I made more money (especially after I finally got P2P).
