Well this topic came about in my head when I helped an Asian man who works next to my brothers shop with some stuff. It was a 10 minute job, I then preceded to go to my brothers shop. After about 10 minutes, the man came in and shook my hand. As I was shaking his hand, he gave me $100 Aud. Then he left. I thought to myself, Why would he give me $100 For a job that wasnt even worth $5. So I went back to the man, and gave him the $100 back. He then asked me some questions, Such As "From which religion are you" And "Why did You give it back to me". I then left.
The man was taken back by what I had done. In Islam it tells us {None of you have truly believed until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for Himself}
So I wondered to myself, What I did was normal, Why was he so shocked. This Is what I came up with.
Stereotypes:
Media portray muslims as bloodthirsty maniacs who have no goal in life but to bomb people. Although the most honourable way to die is Jihad ( Dying in the name of god, there is only three law on which killing is permissable in Islam.
1. An Eye for an Eye
2. The married man who commits Adultery
3. Or the one who forsakes his religion and abondons his community.
Most Muslims disagree with terrorists. You will mainly find that they get annoyed by the bombings that happened. Not all Muslims are terrorists, A small clan of senseless animals are.
Muslims are generally very nice human beings, they have a sence of humour, they are kind, they are generally nice. So why does the media sell stories that are half true. I have a couple of theories;
1. Media networks such as Fox are run to help George W.Bush. By helping sell stories, they can successfully invade countries and steal their oil.
2. Media want an interesting story. Why not make a story bigger than it is to help sell it.
Now i will explain the an eye for an eye.
In Islam, god permits somebody to avenge a friend or relative death. However this does not apply with terrorism. Terrorists kill Innocent people for seemingly no reason at all, yet they claim to be doing it in the name of god. They are doing exactly the opposite of what god ordered them to do. Also there is a Ayat in the Quran which tells us that If one kills himself, he dies as a non-Believer. God does not tell them to blow up innocent people, instead he tells us to learn from them and teach them.
Media;
This is the one that cuts me the most. Lets just say Person A is an Arab, While Person B is an American Citizen.
Person A Has had a fight and hurt A normal American.
Person B has robbed a bank while armed.
Which one gets more attention? Obviously Person A because media want stories worth selling. Nobody cares about an armed robbery, they've been arround for ages. These Arab stories are new and people are interested in them.
In conclusion, Muslims are generally nice people who are nice and friendly. The images portrayed by media is false, and in reality they only post stories for people to buy them. Feel free to ask questions, And I'll Try my best to answer.
