Right. Doesn't mean that they don't have a jugular, though. They do, and it's used to completely drain them of all blood.?
Reaching that jugular is more complicated.
When a pig is slaughtered in the west it is typically hung (while being unconscious), and then exanguinated, and after some time some parts are cut off to make it possible to reach the throat veins. Once it is reached it is then finaly cut of, this process takes time and during this time the blood cycles has already stopped.
There aren't too many meats that the human body is capable of eating raw.
Undtil this point by cooking I had ment boiling, but I realise that you mean ordinary cooking. Ordinary cooking, roasting, does not remove all bacteria. Removing all bacterias recuires boiling in hot water or liquid. If you want to cook the meat free of bacterias it will be burned.
No, the barbecuing would be kill off any bacteria.
That is the case if you let it burn for a long time, and doing so suddenly means that the meat is burned and uneatable. What people are doing when barbecuing is undercooking the meat, of which bacterias can easely survive.
Well, it seems that in the U.S., some 5.5% of people have alcohol problems. Sure, it's a risk, but what of those that drink responsibly?
So your suggesting that it should be allowed for those who drink it responsibly?
That would suddenly give each individual free will and choice of wether one sees himself as addicted or not, and such thing would form the religion instead of the religion forming one.
And even if you forget what I just said: the response for those who drink responsibly is just - Get over it. Its not like alcohol is a need.
If you believe in god, then you wouldnt question every single law and statement that he wants you to follow. If god does not want you to eat pork and drink alcohol, you will just have to accept it.
It might just be a test that god has given to you, to find out wether or not you will do as he wish, as hard as the wish may be to you...
Alcohol and pork just hapends to be doing more bad than good.
