The "pure thing"

So as i played RS as a young young kid i clocked in 21 days over a couple years and never really accomplished much but of course had a blast.

I went over to duel arena today and to my surpise 95% of people wore absolutely nothing but a weapon if even.

What the fuck is with all this pures shit?

I get they don't get def. but i don't see the point of not getting def if the only people you can fight are low levels and other pures.

I found only 1 person my level (88) to duel with and he refused to stake.

Everyone else would just challenge me then block up all armor cept weapon.

Whats the point of naked duels? I mean i got 60 defense for a fucking reason.

Please explain pures to me in detail someone.

 

I think mainly because it's early days again people have low levels and can't be bothered training them all. If you give it a few months there will definitely be a lot more mains about.

 

theres already alot of boxers (nothing but combat stats which leads to low combat)

 

The real mains are busy getting their combat levels up.

I've been hanging around the DI (Damage Inc) forums a fair bit, and a lot of them are busy getting things like 85 Slayer and tons of whips, loot from Dagg Kings, and high stats at Bandits/other training spots.

 

Because they PK PK --> low cb < high cb (def)

 

You must be new if you dont understand that

 

It's not a viable money making strategy for non pures to go to the duel arena (at this current point in the game at least) and therefore you wont find many there.

I sometimes see the odd level 100 there just showing off their gear, and funning but most mains would be out leveling stats and getting better gear.

 

"The pure thing", is fun.

 

Because being a pure allows you to easily kill people of their level. (especially those that trained their defence level)

 

Pures have always been around, they're just VERY prominent at the moment because of the servers being new.

 

Even if you didn't stake a pure, they would probably still block all armor against you. Nobody really stakes with armor on except people who want their own rules and they set it up so they have a high chance of winning.

Purrs are the go man. I've seen some really tweaked pures slaughter some decent mains bro...

They don't have defence in order to remain a lower combat with a higher strength level

 

I don't get why everyone's making a melee pure, tank rangers shit allover them lol
