The guide in the first post dealt with the mistaken concept that there are "hot zones" and "cold zones" in the Party Room, in other words certain areas of the room were supposed to have a better chance of yielding the item. This has been disproven. You can find the correct information in this thread:

It has never been disproven, and, the guide was taken down by request of a past buyer, (even though a thousand some odd people have seen this)
