The Oil Situation

Oil drives the world and is depleting every day, being consumed in massive amounts by our growing industrialized world. We had a discussion about the current oil situation in History today, and I would just like to hear some opinion and thought from you guys about what is going to happen when the sun begins to set on oil production. Global oil supply can't meet global oil demand forever.

Thoughts?

 

Alternative forms of energy. Solar power/electric power are the two I feel would be the most efficient. Or are you referring to what's going to happen to the economy or how the world's political powers are going to react?

 

It will run out one day- hopefully i'm not around when it happens.

I see these happening in the future


- H2o Based energy- water supply will then run out

- The world gets so polluted that start Taxing you to breathe clean air.

 

Power will be generated from other resources such as water, solar & as Global Warming is growing I sense somebody will invent something soon.. The thing about this is that they have these out on the market already but they are outrageously priced which means nobody is going to pay that amount for it, meaning less customers & more gases being emitted into the economy.

 

There's alternative options already existing but large moneymaking corporations are doing their best to keep them down so they can keep making gobs of dough off this oil for as long as they can.

 

there will be an alternative, i thought they were making fuel out of algee or something like that?


but no doubt oil will cause another war between some countries or even ww3
