The Official Combat Beta Thread

That would mean the high selling of 9hpers.. I've seen like a 100 being sold since the release or beta news..

hopefully i enjoy this as soon as it comes out or i'm going to quit, and just use runescape to make money. >:I

But i'm not sure that there taking the right aproach to the whole combat level thing....like 99 mage pures with like hp or def or whatever will be able to fight people with persay 99 att/str or something. I'm not sure they worked it out right

 

I'm thinking they've not worked it out right. The new pures can be 99 hp through Soul Wars or something and be low leveled.

 

Constitution, Prayer, and Summon will have no impact on your combat level. 9 hp will still exist, I was referring to the combat level.

It's now 'X + (your def level) + 2', x being your highest level out of Strength/Attack/Magic/Ranged. So let's use current level 1 accounts as an example:

It would be 1(as in all are 1 anyway) + 2 + 1(def level) = 4 combat(the new lowest combat possible)

Since constitution has no effect in the new formula, new accounts will always start at 4 combat. 9 hp will more than likely remain, it's anyone with under 3 combat currently that'll be screwed over(although they weren't intentional to begin with).

Correct. It's actually extremely easy.. I can almost guarantee there will be some market to charm leeching.

Wow, dual wielding weapons That is actually pretty cool, this BETA is actually getting me stoked to go play legit again wow.

 

Just finished watching the video that shows dual wielding after seeing it on the main site...That looks awesome =D...

I can't wait to test the beta on the 26th...

beat me to it but i would like to add in that the second wep hits only 50% but that still beats any shield

 

That is normal for dual wielding in most mmorpgs...Knight online is an example, the second weapon only adds I think 25% of it's power + whatever elemental damage it does.

 

That video got me so pumped. Finally we will have some decent graphics and animations when fighting, and all these effects will make this way more interesting.

 

The dual weapon combat actually looks pretty fucking cool. I am quite excited to try out the BETA when it comes out in a few more days.
