We would not simply "buy" other countries. South America already has formed its own union, can you show any information backing this?

I said I heard it. I don't have any proof.

I don't think they will, although there is NAFTA, the North Atlantic Free Trades Association, which is a treaty between Canada, the US and Mexico.
But they won't make a union, because imagine, all the mexicans going to the US, since they're a union anyway.

EDIT: Europe isn't 1 country, the countries are working together, and only 15 countries have the Euro as their currency.

Yea, I doubt the three will be joined into one country. One currency seems unlikely, but that is the only thing that I can take away that might be possible.

Oh, and NAFTA reminds me of the Family Guy episode with Bill Clinton in it.
