The "new" crowns

Hi! I was thinking about how crowns have risen so fast and are bought out and almost impossible to snipe. So when Jagex announced the new TT rewards, i got thinking. ( link here:http://services.runescape.com/m=news/newsitem.ws?id=3170&allcat=true) Buying out the new 3rd age gear and the dragon masks sounds like a great idea to me, so lets get buying!!!

New items always seem to rise a ton after their release, then drop back down. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on them don't keep them too long or you'll be stuck with them while they crash back down.

 

Yea i plan on getting them and waiting till the 20M street price, hopefully the GE will keep them rising at the same rate as street, cause i don't have any junk!

 

All I can say is good luck buying them. Because there's going to be 10k+ other people trying to do the exact same thing.

 

Of course they are going to be bought out from the very first second since it will take some time before people get them >.>
And most likely won't sell them either, if they have any sense in their heads.

Jagex said every single treasure trail is now going to yield a treasure trail only reward. Your doubling the amount of rewards, but way way way more than doubling the chances of getting a reward. The outcome of the items will probably be like the staff of light, hexcrest, and focus sight. People hoarded like they do every new item, people payed ridiculous prices for about 2 weeks, then once people figured out it was actually a lot easier than expected to obtain the item yourself, they crashed to below where the item started in price.

A similar sequence of events will happen with new treasure trail rewards, only it will be much much more drastic. A treasure trail only reward every single time? After the update, I could probably get a dragon mask every day or so if I really wanted, but currently I could not get any single piece of 3rd age in a month of no-lifing hellhounds and treasure trails.

 

Prices will drop, this wont work

 

What makes you people think prices are rising when they become more common?

 

I think that the mask and 3rd age rewards will be extremely rare, but they will introduce alot of cheap TT rewards to keep them rare, or nerf the drop rate of TT scrolls.

 

Crowns will probably experience a dip in price when the new items do come out, but I doubt they will crash permanently.

 

I think it's very probable they will.

Other, cooler items will replace crowns, and so people won't be as interested in them. Once people start selling them on the GE, it doesn't take long for the general populace to realize, and dump their crowns. What we have then is a panic crash... the worst kind.

 

I think mask prices will halt and remain stagnant if the dragon mask is worth it

 

I think bobs will crash cause of TT update, but the items such as 3rd gear, etc. Will grow up, just my opinion.

 

Crowns will crash eventually as more people buy puro-puro bots and the supply finally meets the demand. IMO bobs, animal masks and possibly 3rd age gear will all crash aswell.

 

I don't see crowns dropping anytime soon TBH. The price of getting one is around 20 mill if you are lucky with looting the imps. So unless the imps drop to like <1M prices will keep rising to 20-30M depending how much the kingly imps are worth.

 

0 ya new items will be soo easy to get... Have you thought of the fact all of the new 3rd age gear will have a HIGH street price, be unsnipeable in the g/e, and there won't be as much of it?
