This is it. My 1000th post in Sythe.

I am Marcus, known as Uselesspoop in these forums. I have been a member of Sythe since 2007 and have learnt alot from these forums. I've gained alot of experiences from this forum - getting scammed, making successful trades, trusting others... In short, being here is simply great! :laugh:

Finally, i am becoming a Guru. In this post, i will be sharing some of my ideas to make Sythe a more wonderful place...

A Sythe Merchant Clan
I did not witness the previous merchant clan, but i heard it had failed due to early dumping and greediness of individuals. A merchant clan will only succeed if everyone participating in the merch holds on to their stock and do not let their greed get the better of them. This way, an item will remain bought-out and the price of it will rise drastically. The concept is correct, and in theory, it will work. However, it often fails as many selfish and greedy individuals decide to sabotage the merchant for their own gains.

The idea i am proposing is this - instead of junk trading off the stock, or dumping at a #certain price which no one will ever follow, we will sell these junk to junk buyers instead. Junk buyers usually buy crashing junk for $0.25 - $0.35 per million gold pieces worth of junk. If the merch stock doubles in its price, eg.

The clan is merchanting bronze daggers. Bronze daggers were orignally 14gp, and due to the successful merch, it is now 28gp. The price of it has doubled. If someone had previously bought one million worth of bronze daggers at 14gp each, they now have two million worth of bronze daggers at 28gp each. Next, instead of dumping them into the grand exchange, they will sell the bronze daggers to the junk buyers for $0.50 - $0.70. Now, they profit 1 million coins for a whooping low price of $0.50 - $0.70, which is 2 - 3 times cheaper than buying gold from a gp seller!

Yes, this is somewhat like Plznate's idea, just that it is much cheaper. Sadly, with it's reduced prices comes in disadvantages too, the cons. Because this is not a solo - buyout, it will have to involve many people. Therefore, a dishonest person will ruin the whole thing. A precaution can be taken into place - Stock checking & Depositing.

A highly trusted user can organise this. Other users who will want to participate in this will have to pay X amount of deposit, in paypal cash to the highly trusted user. Then, the participating members will discuss among themselves when they will get rid of the stock. For example "lets get rid of the bronze daggers when they reach 2x the original price". When the bronze daggers finally reach the price planned, the highly trusted user will have to do some work, which can just take up to 10 minutes maximum if he organises it well. He will check the participating users if they still have the stock. If they fail to produce the amount of stock, the highly trusted user will NOT refund their deposit and will spilt it proportionally with the rest of the participating members who have not dumped their stock early. This is a good precaution against early dumpers.

Pros :
1. Very cheap runescape gold, at $0.50 - $0.70/mil!
2. Everyone gains, no one loses anything.
3. If everyone understands that this is a win-win situation, everyone will gain.
4. It is not a solo-buyout, you do not need a very very very large sum of money.

Cons :
1. Difficult to check if players have not dumped early. Difficult to also check as it is impossible to tell how much of the stock a participating user bought. Eg. he could have bought 500M of the stock, but would only say he bought 100M and would show 100M at the beginning and at the end, but in actual fact he has dumped 400M of stock.
2. Needs people who are trusted to work.

Note that i do KNOW, that Plznate is offering this service too and his is flawless and it is mainly a solo-buyout/people he knows well. However, i am suggesting this as if this manages to take off, and people DO actually understand the concept, everyone will GAIN. Furthermore this is 0.50 - 0.70 cheaper than Plznate's.

The second idea i am proposing is :

Synchronised Real world trading method
This method is pretty complex and it is very difficult for it to take off. However, this idea is full of potential. If well-organised, real world trading would be easy as poop and billions can be transferred in a single CLICK. I am pretty sure this idea only works in theory, and is impossible to take off.
The idea revolves around buying out an item in grand exchange. What happens when you completely buy out an item? No one is able to buy it unless you decide to sell it. The idea uses the Grand exchange's weakness - the price range of items.

Here is an example of how the idea can take off (take note this is a solo example) :
1) Player A buys out Green Dragon Masks. It's price range is 1.7m - 1.9m.
2) Green dragon masks cannot be bought anymore, even for max price.
Now there is two different paths - Is the item hardly traded? If the answer is that no one buys/sells it, the player A who is the giver will sell in G.E for min, and the receiver will buy it for min at 1.6M. After 4 hours, he will sell back to G.E for max, and the giver will put an offer to buy the masks for max. Therefore, gold is transferred.

However, if people still do actually buy/sell the item, this is the path to take. Since the item is bought out, the Giver ( player A ) has all of the stock. Player A will sell to the receiver in trade for Med price. Next, the receiver can sell back to G.E for max back to the Giver.

Obviously this is impossible to take place as there are buying limits on G.E. For example, you can only buy 10 Dragon daggers/4hours. Therefore, the counter is : buyout multiple items.

Just imagine ( in theory ) : 10 items are bought out by 1 - 100 people. The buying limits of the items allow 400M/4hours. That is 400M every four hours with a few clicks! How will it work though? Everyone will have to synchronise their timings. They have to go one by one for it to work. So for e.g their are 10 people.

#1 will xfer in 12:00
#2 will xfer in 12:15
..
.
.
.
.
#10 will xfer in 1:00.

10 people will be hard to synchronise. Imagine 100 people following a schedule... And yes, a buy-out also means the item price will rise too, that means more transferring potential as the time passes. Of course, there are many cons and it is just too difficult to synchronise for it to be successful.

Therefore, this is just an idea and probably will never take off. I'm just sharing this as some of you might find it interesting.

Another point i want to talk about is Feedback on Chinese gold sites like gold4rs/usfine

I've seen numerous threads complaining about their service, trustworthess and shit. Firstly, most of you guys, not all are PRICKS. Before ordering from them, most of you probably know that they are Chinese, and that they are not very good in understanding you, although they do try their very best too. If you know that already, and still order from them and then complain about their lousy understanding of the english language, FUCK OFF. Secondly, take a look at this : http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=855681 This user decides to buy this $999 USD account. Take note, $999USD to most people, especially them, is alot of money. Farmer100 tells the user they have to wait 2 - 3 days before giving him the account to ensure the money is safe and will not be charged back. They even offer to give the user an account which is less awesome for him to play, and after 2 - 3 days they will give the $999 USD account to him.

Sadly, for that user, he is a bit of an impatient prick and refuses. He argues that he has purchased accounts of $800+ from other websites and none of them has the same policy. Obviously different companies will have their own set of different policies. Just because company A gives your account to you instantly does not mean company B must do the same? What Farmer100 probably wants is to wait 2 - 3 days. WHY? This is because if paypals finds the payment suspicious, they will hold the payment and Farmer100 does not want to give you the account, then realises the payment gets held and they get no money and lose the account. Sounds logicial, yes. Next, the user starts making crap loads of accusations towards Farmer100.

Farmer100 decides the best thing is to refund that problematic user. They say they require up to 24 hours. However, the user enjoys being a dick and demands for it to be refunded immediately and makes threats.

So he decides to file a paypal claim. However, this is the point where Farmer100 has lied and is RIDICULOUS. They should never lie under any circumstances and this just ruined their whole reputation.

Just imagine : If the problematic user decides to think "hey let's just wait 3 days and if i don't get my account i shall chargeback and report it as fraud" OR "hey let's wait 24 hours and see if i get my refund, if i don't let's charge it back", would all of this have happened?

Therefore, once again...

They probably did not want to purchase his account as it was perhaps too "high of a risk". If they purchased that account, and the seller recovered it? It just shows how shallow some sythe members are actually.

Obviously the companies behave outrageously and ridiculously too sometimes. However, if you actually try not to be an immature prick and try your best to speak simply and understand them, many things would just go smoothly.

 

To your first point of a sythe merchant clan- Tmoe is starting one, check out his thread in RS Pictures/Videos. However, it is not a Sythe Merchant clan, its a Spyike merchant clan. He has many ideas on how to fix the dumping problem and how EVERYONE benefits, you should check it out. He also has plans on how to stop early dumping, but it is still in progress.

To your second point about synchronized real world trading- Yes that does seem like an almost impossible idea. I actually do know a few items where that would work since no one buys or sells it (I actually used that method to transfer some of the stock to a friend that I was working with.) However, you would make no where near to 1m in 4 hours based on the items I used due to limits. But if it worked in the way you described, yes it would be ideal.

To your third point- Yes, I agree to that as well. Yes, they have a language barrier. Deal with it. If you work to help them understand, things go much better. They actually have good customer support unlike what everyone says. I order gold from them all the time. In fact, yesterday I ordered 295m from gold4rs. So far, its going great. However, that's because I worked to understand them instead of freaking out when they asked for something like a photo id or a confirmation call. I one time saw someone call gold4rs scammers because he played the quickhit contest, won the 1m free gold farming, and then they asked for his username and password. What did he think would happen? I have seen many cases where people react in the wrong way, so I recently made a thread regarding my 295m order. It's in the Market Lounge, I wanted to show that they are not scammers and they actually do their best to help your order.

I'm with you 100% on your last post. The chinese sites cannot understand half of the shit people say to them, and they continue to argue with them.
I just speak to them in small words lol, it tends to work.
