Yeah it's happened once before shouldn't be to long before RID finds that the Server is down

 

I already emailed him about it. It's not really the server, it's the SSL has expired. It's like a license you rent for a year, and then have to renew.

 

Works fine for me? I never even had this problem.

 

It's back up now, it went down around 8:15 pm est time yesterday, but it's back up atm.

I am getting a lot of random but is there a program that I can use to screen shot record the randoms and send them to you rather than use RID's recorder that doesn't even work

 

RID is not completely undetectable. There IS some detection method, because if a jmod shows up at the mage training arena after you get reported, there is a huge if not 100% chance that you will be banned unless you turn the bot off. I was perm-banned on a 3 year old account with zero blackmarks (all i ever botted with was mta4) after this happened. Honestly, I believe the auto talker got me banned. Looking back - it's more legit to just not talk then to slip up and say something stupid. I was botting slightly more than suggested in the guidelines (8-10 hours a day), but still - if the bot were undetectable that really shouldn't matter (I botted on a different server every day, so i imagine i ran into the same people very rarely).



Why am I saying hey like a dummy? lol. I think that dude even said jackpot because of it. He's probably the one that reported me.

 

X, your absolutely right ha. My IRL friend recently bought MT4 and he claimed that a J-Mod was patrolling there so he logged, which was stupid but. Especially if you have a 3 yr. old acc i'd be watching it the whole time.. Ha, Kinda nervous bout having my GW's pure banned because of the auto talker giving it away.

 

I don't see what's wrong with those responses xpielordx? All your bot did was responding "Hey" back to the guy who said it to you. It wasn't even the same guy who said "Jackpot". They're different people, at different times.

But yea, it's weird you got banned, eventhough what you said about breaking guideline 1.

 

xpielordx - 7z78 is a normal player, not a moderator, who said jackpot because they found the 30gp/free-item in alch. If someone reported you they are more likely to say 'reported' or 'nice bot' etc, it was a different person than the guy who said 'hey' anyway, J-Mods don't respond to reports like a 911 call, it takes time to process, and the snapshot and ban appeal team take reports, not J-Mods. I could check the times of the comments but it's already obvious there's nothing wrong with your chat log.

3 players have had real evidence of being reported in conversation history since we introduced the talker (only 1 of those in the past 12 months), all as a result of being relatively quiet (never for a flaw or for saying something dumb) and none of those players were banned.

It's been operating in RS for years now, if there was a flaw in the talker, RID would know about it, believe me, we know everything every person ever said to the bot. If you think the bot just says 'hey' like a dummy after all the work that's gone into it, from that small snapshot of 2 comments (responding to 'hey' and 'hi' respectively) then you know just as much about the RID auto-talker as Jagex do...

The talker, combined with our tracking of all conversation, has put J-Mods off bot-busting. If they ever did, we'd know. You are the only player a J-Mod has spoken to since V4 came out. It's not as intelligent as being there yourself, but there is no flaw.

RID beats the automated systems, and it's rare J-Mods go after RID members, but when they do... the RID guidelines are enough to keep you safe. Like you said, you weren't following them, that's why you weren't safe.

The J-Mod must have picked you because you'd been breaking guideline 1. Your own playing time is added to whatever time you spend botting as far as the J-Mod is concerned. With 8-10 hours botting, you could well be clocking up 12-14+ hours. They rarely go in-game, but even if Mark was not sure and came in game to judge your reaction and the talker wasn't enough to convince him you were legit, it was still breaking guideline 1 that provided 90% of the evidence in your ban. If you'd been online only 4 hours a day and only said 'hey' to Mark, I'm betting that would not be enough to get you a ban! Actually... if you hadn't been breaking guideline 1, my bet is he wouldn't have payed you a visit in the first place.

Also, why make people nervous about this now, when you were banned months ago, well before the macro update... Only 11 RID members (you and 10 others) have been banned in all 2009, all of whom had broken RID guidelines... I'm not saying people should be complacent, following guidelines is important, but RID is as safe as it gets... no player who followed the guidelines has ever been banned... and in the past month 0 RID members have been banned, but next time a J-Mod wants to ban a RID member, there will probably be some guideline breaker(s) for them to hunt down, unfortunately that's the reality.

I've actually seen a bug with RID's autotalker. I saw some guy talking to me today, while I was botting in alchemist, and my bot never answered him. He said, "hi" and simple stuff like that, but the bot never said anything back.

Now, here's the weird part, after the guy had spoken to me a couple of times, the bot simply terminated! Then I went to my profile at www.robotzindisguise.com to check, and guess what? In the comment the bot had actually answered "hi" back, but I never saw it say anything in the runescape window.

I've already sent you a mail via the customer support, but I haven't gotten an answer yet, but I've asked you to take a look into my bot, because I haven't seen anyone else reporting this, so it might just be me who's experiencing this.

I was wondering what magic I'd need to start training with RID and how much start up cash it would require, also to make money via the mage training you need different kind of pizzaz points but does the bot automatically even it out etc :S... just confused it's one of the few mini games I didn't look enough into in my years of rs.

 

I am having problems similar to last week after the graphical update where the javaw.exe does not show up and the bot doesn't work. i love the bot though

Trigger, how'd you get unlimited hours? I thought you only could get 700 hours tops with MT4, and 1000 with BlackSmith?

 

I was banned back in V3 of the MTA (2 times actually) and it was originally unlimited for the MTA but i had it changed to blacksmith.
