The full truth of what has happened with (a large part of) Jon's donation money

I agree it probably is, I'm just pointing out to the CDT or whoever's reading to make sure there isn't these giant discrepancies in the accounting.

This is such a headache lol I feel bad for Jon's family, partially the CDT(even though it got fucked up on their behalf), and staff/sythe.

The honest truth I think we can pretty much establish is at least $1k was lost, Bogla is taking a $700 loss trying to help a good cause, and poor video got stuck in this clusterfuck along with him.

Honestly there might still be money missing, I think it's still a couple $100 short, but I'm personally going to believe the above and just be grateful Jon's family still gets a good chunk of money and leave it at that, because its going to be impossible to truly balance or track this properly with the clusterfuck that occurred, I do think theres more money missing still though but that's just me.

Life goes on, God Bless Jon and I hope the $5.5k helps his family.

That's really sad, not even be able to trust people with 550$ for a good cause. Next time you'll have to do daily transfers in portions having talked trough with everyone.

 

Well from the perspective of a DNT peasant:

Reputation is more important to me, personally, than the ability to post an a forum. That's why I plan to pay back @Time To Buy because he's a great guy. But also if I can't make it honest on an internet forum I'm really failing at life.

I've had a good reputation on here in the past and it's cool to have people come to you for advice/help.

Not all of us DNT'ers are without a conscience.

I mean @lame123 is but he's also a headless chicken.

 

Just giving my honest opinion, it seems like behind the scenes was a real shit show, and you guys at the CDT as a whole could of done so much better. Not to mention the fact that the person on the CDT who lied about Bogla agreeing to that should be not only removed from the CDT but also be banned as well, I will be building a wall around the CDT members if anyone is interested in donating to this cause please feel free to PM me.

This was really just a personal judgment call and it extends to maybe 2 or 3 members at most. I was also just venting some frustration when I wrote that. CDT members are not chosen for trustworthiness, they are chosen for their ability and willingness to improve the community which this fundraiser has done. I don't want people to get hung up on that part

 

I would like to again thank you for being open and honest and not trying to hide anything like that stupid mother fucker @Dunworry is trying to do.

 

Maybe it's just me but I don't want people that couldn't be trusted with a lousy 500m to be a part of the CDT.

CDT controls CDT, the community really has no say in whats suppose to be a team that is suppose to help us and develop the community as a whole.

CDT just gives the community the illusion of power by letting us vote on polls, but in the end they decide whats on the poll, who runs it, how their listed, and what one ultimately wins.

I personally have always liked the idea of a community controlled CDT, but I don't know how much support that could gather.

 

What does this even mean? The CDT is here to develop the community, they should take all constructive input from the community they're trying to develop.

Cannot comment on the CDT in its current state but CDT when I was part of it wasn't very good. It did not really conform to its original mission statement/intent. It seemed like a collection of staff who were too busy with their responsibilities both as staff & in real life.

The rest were people who seemed to just want staff to come as a byproduct of being in the CDT.

The CDT sub-forum was emptier than @TalonsGP 's love life in 2014.

For the sake of progress I hope it's improved. It looks like it has so long as Jon's family gets the money. We certainly didn't do an event as powerful or good in 2014.

I don't have anything against anyone in the CDT, nor do I dislike the CDT, I just wish it was more "power to the people" when it comes to picking whos on the CDT so to speak.

In fairness to the CDT, they did undergo a decent reformation a while back. They are much more in-line with their mission statement than they were before I joined. I didn't stay long (timing didn't work with my IRL obligations) but I'd like to assume that this is still the case
