Well first of all, i'm just your average 16 year old kid. For the past few months, I've really liked a girl. It all started about 5 months ago, we were just friends, a month later, the friendship got closer, then a little later, I just knew, she was the girl I wanted. I honestly don't even like calling it a friend-zone, I feel like the person puts himself there, I sure did.

As soon as I started liking her, I didn't really realize but she knew it, she would always ask me for back-rubs, we went on dates which later she would tell everyone she just went with her "Best Guy Friend", we have even just hung out alone for hours! I tried my best to make her feel like a princess, doing anything I could for her.... Regardless, I obviously dug myself into a complete hole which is ridiculously hard to get out of.

Two months ago, she told me she liked some other boy, and man, I just spilled it. I told her that I've liked her for a long time, I told her how much I cared for her, and of course I did it over texting because I just wasn't confident about it then. That failed of course, she continued to like the kid, they ended up dating, she told me that I cared about her more than her boyfriend and then broke up with him.

I never really thought about it until about a month and a half ago, but honestly she has made me so happy and at the same time so miserable. I stopped putting up with her shit, like honestly she completely changed the person I am, I can tell shes one of those girls that likes to be dominant, so I became more dominant, I don't let her boss me around like her little puppet anymore, the relationship is equal. I even started showing affection to her now. Every couple days she holds my hand at school now, she flirts with me, and shes even told me that " I have really changed, and she really likes it.". I even see her just stare at me in some classes smiling.

So obviously I have slightly dug myself out of the friendzone, but truthfully, I feel like she will never care about me like I care about her. She continues to flirt with other guys and I even feel like shes just flirting with me now because she knows I won't leave while she does it because it makes me so happy. I guess I just posted here looking for someone who could give me some personal support on this, maybe some thoughts of what she is doing to me? I just feel like I can't leave, I have never had feelings like this before for a girl. :embar:

Hah, that thing called love ;) Yeah it sometimes sucks. I am 18 years old now, experienced something similar when I was your exact age.

My advice is that you should make some space between you both, but also dont ignore her at all, as that will end up in awkward situations when you're around her. I can guarantee that if you start dating another girl she will be really jealous and will start showing affect towards you ;)

You don't leave, you just try to actually make it into a relationship. Even if she dumps you you're love will probably be over. And if not well. just try to avoid her. Out of sight out of mind, been there don't that id say. It's hard but just try to let it go if you're sure she'll hurt you by cheating or just not loving you at all.

It's high school. My advice is that you get laid and then dump her, and wait until college for a serious relationship.

Rather abrupt, but I have to say he speaks the truth.
The thing that gets people in the friend zone is they don't initiate anything. While you're with her you need to get close to her, try kissing her. Guys generally have to make the first move. She said she likes you now you don't let her boss you around. Get confident and initiate a kiss, put your hand on her leg and don't be afraid to try anything, if she doesn't like it she will say, but don't let that put you off. Just say ok, carry on kissing her and see what she will let you don't do and won't let you do :)

I'm a girl and I've been friendzoned before. He never really played with my head like it seems she is, but, if it feels like she's just doing it to do it.. just reject it because it isn't real.

lolololol, best.advice.ever.

Well guys, I still don't really know what to do, i'll be more affectionate for a week or two longer then just completely stop talking to her. She can feel unwanted for a couple days like I did for a few months... lmao

Ask her to introduce one of her friends to you.
If yes, then you get a chance with somebody else and while you are with that person, you will learn to forget about the first girl. <=Can anybody confirm or relate to this?

If no, then call her a cock-block (in the nicest way possible) and go meet other women
