Player Auctions fucked me over for $300 USD with their "insurance"

So here is what happened

4 1/2 months ago, I buy an ironman account around 1700 total with around 100m bank value for $300. I pay an extra $30 or so to playerauctions so that I can have it insured and I can get compensated if the account gets recovered.

3 weeks ago, I tried to de-iron the ironman because I had a 1.7b bank at the time and wanted to have fun with it buying whatever I wanted. I required the account creation details because I would have had to de-iron through support since it was permanent ironman. I couldn't give right away so Jagex locked the account thinking it may have been taken from original owner. I contacted seller for help, because I had no other option. He sees that bank is huge now, and takes the account, although he makes up some story where he shared account with a friend originally and his friend was required to give details, and he then kept the account and rwt'd all the items. He also claimed he and his friend had just fallen out. True or not, account was taken back, and the seller himself said that his friend had already wiped the account's bank. The account's bank aside, seller would not even give account back (even if I had wanted) and deleted me from Discord when I asked if he could refund me.

So I put in a Dispute for PlayerAuctions. I put in some screenshots from my conversations with the seller, where he pretty much says his friend took everything off the account and sold it. I put in the picture of not being able to send him a message anymore after I ask for my money back. Heres an example of a bit of the evidence : evidence It may not be concrete evidence but I provided the best of what I could provide, seeing as I can't contact the game developer and get them to give evidence that the account I bought was recovered because Jagex doesn't allow that. I also provide PlayerAuctions screenshot of the recovery screen where it shows the recovery email address isn't what mine was, and ends with .uk which mine didn't seeing as I'm not even European.

Heres where it gets stupid. The seller literally ignored the dispute, didn't deny it or provide any evidence to it, yet Player Auctions completed their "IMPARTIAL REVIEW' of the reported dispute and put it in favor of the seller's demands. He literally didn't respond and I provided evidence, and I lost.

I then started emailing PA's support because I wanted to know how I could lose that dispute.

I even asked what I could provide to prove that the seller recovered my account. Catherine from Player Auctions didn't tell me that, probably because Player Auctions doesn't want me to, because they'd have to reimburse me.

That is 4 months of hard grinding and $300 + the $30 insurance down the drain with not even a bit of compensation. Do not buy anything from Player Auctions, especially RS accounts seeing as they're so easily recoverable, and Player Auctions are so biased towards the seller seeing as it is beneficial for them. Their insurance is the biggest scam of all.

 

99% chance you wont get anything back mate, i would recommend you create your own account as all accounts purchased are not safe :-(

I had an account recovered from player auctions and I showed them clear proof and they refused to give me the insurance I posted. I would only use that site for gold. Terrible customer service and the insurance is a scam

 

Yeah I know all accounts purchased aren't safe, this post isn't about the account being recovered. Its more about how Player Auctions scam people with their insurance, and are heavily biased towards the seller.

I mean the seller literally didn't respond and I showed decent proof to them that he or his irl friend recovered my account, yet they put it in his favour.

Yeah playerauctions support has always been very suspect imo. How did you pay for the account? If it was PayPal it might be worth opening a dispute, I believe you have 180 days from the time of purchase to do so?
Perhaps they will be more sympathetic to your case.

 

try posting HERE you might have better luck getting a response. in all fairness @PlayerAuctions i don't know why you guys provide this "insurance" when even myself has had the same issue as the OP.

 

Open a dispute with PayPal, and also call you bank
