Dude, you're a disgrace for mankind, putting The Offspring in an emo list... have you ever heard their music?

 

Ok.. i'll clear this up again. Before their latest album i thought they were completely shit. Sucked majorly and never listened to them again after i heard like 10 or so of their songs. Recently i saw a picture of them and they were dressed all black and i went into a shop where they were categorised as 'emo' so i was like "ok, maybe they are emo then". So thats why i put it in there. I took it off though, i realised i made a mistake.

 

I don't think Nonpoint or Escape the Fate is but I'm not going to yell and insult about it. But The Used belongs there. Love them

Therefore I don't believe they should be on the list.

 

Jamison Parker. Single best emo band. They aren't together anymore but they were amazing.

Boys like Girls? They get classified as emo on my iPod.

 

I wouldn't classify them as emo, no. More of an alternative.

 

Weezer is categorized as emo, although I consider them alternative.

 

Atreyu is sorta emo :S

 

Hmm i don't think Atreyu is really emo, i'll put it on if more people agree with it though. Yeah Weezer was like on of the first bands to be classified as emo. Also Boys Like Girls i'm pretty sure is categorised as emo. I took out nonpoint since majority of people think it doesn't belong there.

 

Dude... just stop honestly... like every day you put a band or 2 that don't even belong on there...

weezer is alt rock. nothing more and nothing less, what would state otherwise?

An as I said befoe simple plan is pop punk, not emo.

I'm putting bands on the list that go on a majority vote. If two people say its emo and one says it doesn't, it stays on the list.

You always think you are right and that you are never wrong, you like haunt the Tunes Analysis forum usually posting negative comments about most peoples threads. 'Emo' bands are more of an opinion than an actual genre anyway.

rise against: is somewhat punk rock don't confuse meaningful songs with emo music.

apocalyptica: is a mix of a lot of different types of metal just because they have had guests like the singer from 3 days grace and him don't mean there emo, they have also had people from slayer, soulfly, lacuna coil, and many others I have been a fan of theres for a while and can tell you they are most definitely not emo.

I am trying to help you from looking like a moron. The reason I think I am never wrong is because when it comes down to music I'm almost always right. I devote more time to music in a week then most will in a month. Going by a vote doesn't tell you what genre it's in especially on sythe. look at the above I just clarified from Izena. If everyone is as ignorant as that how are you going to know what is what?

I would much rather not label music at all other than if it's rock metal, rap, country etc. But if you must label a band I would suggest you get it right or keep it to yourself.

An I don't "haunt" the tunes and analysis forum. I simply correct others mistakes and or voice my opinion which guess what Einstein that's what a forum is for voicing ones opinion. if you can't handle criticism I don't think this is the correct place for you.

 

Honestly, stop before I hunt you down. Simple plan IS PUNK/ALTERNATIVE which classifys it as EMO. ALOT of bands that are classified as alternative ARE EMO. If simple plan was pop punk I wouldn't be listening to them.
