The difference beteween a hacker and a freaker.

Okay, I am obviously new to this forum and I'm bored so here's a fun little bit of knowledge.

I see a lot of "Stupid Hackers" and hackers geting blamed for everything. Well Hackers are not bad, Hackers WILL Hack into your computer but for the experience and not for anything else. They will not touch anything. Hackers "Hack" for fun and knowledge.

Now, Freakers.. Freakers Are people who will screw your computer up and steal information. Freakers are bad they are blackhat losers who's only friends are composed of pixels.

Now you are right to say "I got hacked", But you do not say "A Hacker hacked me and took my personal information." You say should "A Freaker Hacked me and took my personal information."

Hacker is a widely misused word mostly by the media which is usually the spawn of this common misconception. This is a pointless post but I'm BORED!

Well that's the third definition I heard of the word hacker. Just have to look at the context because it's used differently.

Trust me, I think it's on wiki but yes it does sound silly and made up. You'd be
surprised how many thing's that sound silly are real. Dark matter, Real. Dark energy.. The force that will one day grow stronger then gravity and unbind everything to the subatomic level. Astronomy and Physics are a few of my hobbies. I honestly do not know who names these things. Do you know what they call that day when Dark energy takes over gravity? The big rip... I really hate who names these things. I honestly do.

 

You'll find things in science are usually named after the person who discovered them.

 

I doubt theres a guy named, Dark energy, dark matter or the big rip but yes you are correct.
I do know that it was a team that discovered dark energy. There was two nasa science teams were competing to find out what the end of the universe would be.. Turns out it was dark energy.. Its a force that will one day be stronger then gravity and unbind everything that gravity holds together... including atoms and so on. (BAD) but not for a google or so years...

People claim that they have been "hacked", when all thats happened is you download a trojen or spyware. Thats not the same. thats your own stupid fault.

 

I know, but a hacker didn't put that trojan or spyware on there and if they did it wasn't for malicious purposes it was just to hack you to see if they could do it.. they wouldn't change anything or touch anything.

A hacker is someone who infiltrates your computer from a remote location and steal info.

Otherwise, how would you know that you have been hacked?

 

I guess you're probably right... To the hacking community, there is a difference between hackers and 'freakers'.

But to the general public, and the "non-hacking comunity", hackers are hackers. They're all the same.

It's like, to a metalhead, there's LOADS of sub-genres of metal. To a non-metalhead, there's just metal... xD

 

The literal interpretation of computer hacking is generally to piece together scraps of code to make something else. Hacks are generally ugly though, hence they're only used when you're throwing something together hastily.

But yeah, goddam freakers piss me off. Most of them are script kiddies though, and they're fun as hell to troll around.

 

Calling them all hackers is easier IMO, no need to remember extra definitions.

 

I don't know about you, but I certainly don't find adding one more word to my vocabulary hard

 

Freakers are mostly called scriptkiddies...

 

Skiddies, CRACKERS and hackers aren't the same.
