I was just wondering this. I live in a southern town etc and i was just wondering what you guys think about the confederate flag and how you stand about it and should it be aloud in schools.

I for one love the flag, if any one knows me i have it on my msn. I do not stand to offend people because i do not believe its racism, i believe it as heritage. I think the kkk and such groups give it a bad name and a bad rep. But any ways what do you think?

It should not hang in schools thats for sure. I could care less if people have them in their homes. When I see the confederate flag I think of three things. The civil war, slavery, the south.

I do not mean have schools hang it, i mean should schools allow you to be able to wear shirts and stuff with it on.

I think it's a bit white trash. Every time I see it, I think of a fat guy with a flanel tank top, trucker cap, carpenter jeans, and cowboy boots. I think it's just, white trash. The north is awesome, because they set the black people free from slavery. Taking somebody and making them work for you or you kill them, means you're a fat fuck who can't work for yourself. It doesn't mean all who have it are hicks, but a majority of them are. I understand if you want to stick up for where you're from, but why stick up for the events that happened over 100 years ago?

Sure, why not. It'll never be hung up in schools, but whatever, I don't mind the fact of someone wearing a confederate shirt. It's not like much has changed, black's still get screwed over a lot. No I'm not gonna use the "Because i'm black" card, but lot's of people still think they don't deserve respect. You believe in it in a different way, not for it's wrong ways, so why not.

I honestly don't see the real necessity to ban them from schools. I mean, you take a flag for what you take it. For instance, you see it as heritage, but others see it as racism. I think it's all about how you represent it. Like if you have it with a racial slur, then probably not. But if it's something you take pride in why not? I mean Latinos are allowed to wear their birth nation flags.

A flag of heritage of something you fucking lost. I don't see the point in it. It's an organization who wanted to keep slavery instated, so they were so serious about it, they succeeded. It shows racism more than anything else.

Tell me how it involves heritage other than racism. Also, if you were from the north, would it even matter?

    1. Heritage means nothing. If you were born in a different country, i'm sure you would be representing that one too.
    2. It was mainly about slavery. Of course there were other factors, but the fact that Lincoln was elected, the South knew that he was going to abolish slavery. And they wasn't going to have it. I know my history.

Lincoln wanted to keep the union together that was one of the biggest reasons of the civil war and Lincoln new that the only way to keep it together is to have the same Law in all states.

Edit: You know Lincoln allowed slavery in a few states?

Afterwards? Of course, to make sure their economy didn't crash.

The reason why Lincoln was so dedicated to win the war was to preserve the union. But the Souths reason? Was because they thought they were being underestimated and not having many representatives in the government.

If slavery was not a reason for the war, then why make many discriminating laws for blacks for post war?

It's not so much as heritage its more of a symbol. I don't mind if people wear it but I do not believe it should hang in schools. And it is not the same as a Mexican person wearing a Mexican flag on their shirt. A Mexican flag symbolizes Mexico which is a country. The confederate flag symbolized the confederate state but it is no longer existent. Yes the Civil war was officially ended.

Then, how do you explain 666? Saying the antichrist is evil, when it clearly states that's the number of the beast.
