The Babadook

So, I watched this a few days ago and it is simply amazing. I have watched a literal ton of horror movies and nothing really gets to me anymore because all mainstream horror is shit tier. This movie is unsettling and cringe-inducing, but not in a gorey way. It is genuinely scary and it is what all horror movies should aspire to be.

So much subtlety and genuinely talented use of tensions and suspense in this film, it was a breath of fresh air in the stagnant pool of jump-scares that is modern horror. I love that you never really get to see the Babadook, it lets your imagination run with it. Also very notable themes of grief, depression, insanity, and so on. Great film overall.
