There are several scam reports open that require you to open them, look at the pics and ban them using ACP.

Mods are unpayed members of the community. They don't always have the time to be able to read through some newfag's scam report that is terribly written and doesn't follow the sticky and doesn't have the required parts (like a sythe confirmation PM), and doesn't flow with images because the newfag poster likes to leave 600 pixels around the image of all white bullshit due to the inability to use the crop tool.



Also, I am now humbly granting you the title of newfags because this belongs in feedback not suggestions.

The RaS forum is about as empty as it's been in as long as I can remember. Several of the open reports are waiting to be resolved by users, not mods, and it's often that reports are dealt with in under an hour. While it's great that you want to report naughty people, keep in mind that other people have lives.

 

A few years ago it used to be 2/3 pages all the time. That's not really an "excuse", though.

Mods aren't going to be doing reports 24/7, that's unrealistic. Plus school & college has just started back and generally there's a dip in mod activity - I don't see anything worryingly neglected though, it all gets dealt with relatively quickly.

 

This and I don't see any bad thing that they're "kinda inactive" just because like you, they have their own problems IRL and I see nothing bad if they don't answer within a day or maybe even 1/2. I don't really know what are your concerns, if you don't like how they work just try and pay them monthly with your own money and they will pay more attention and be more active. Otherwise just sit and calm down. You're not the first who stated that.

 

To be honest your scam report is poorly presented.

I'd ban him till he could prove he had two comp cape accounts, but currently there is no evidence they are the same account other than the timing of him selling one, the other guy claming it's been recovered and the new thread made.

 

I can understand this look like a dig towards something great that has worked for ages but IMO as someone that sells and trades daily, it would help if it got a swift reply.

Either he is a scammer and should be banned before he gets a offer he takes and he ends up scamming the user

Or his topic gets a reply from a mod verifying the account.


the PM is pretty important in the report, as the was his exact buyer off the last account he sold and they vouches for each other in the past.

Check the scammers feedback and you can see that.

I am sorry if this was some halfass made topic in poorly written english, but i think more people should be selected to either help run the forums or the current mods become more active. I see several mods bump up there own topics where they do buisness but in the meanwhile not do anything with the topics at hand.

Saw another example where a topic was a keylogger being spread, reported the topic and 24hours later it was still up.

 

No matter how many mods there are, as a voluntary position there can't always be someone available to do reports 24/7. There will be periods where reports aren't done - but the time frame they are done in is not bad at all.

Its not even bad! I find it REALLY GOOD.

1. They are volunteers... And are NOT PAID. Sythe can die without them so be happy
2. They have a life. They wont do reports 24/7, everyday 0.0

Question.. Would you be able to not have a life and handle reports 24/7 everyday?? I dont think so. Think about what would YOU be able to do before doing a suggestion like this. Would you give up on ur friends, family, activities just because an online forum needs your help to handle reports???? They do what they can and you should be happy.

Everything is okay, but if you don't have time, then why do you want to be administrator/mod or something? Every person need to know, that he'll need to spend some time on page, I don't say that 24/7, it will be enough 1hr in day.

Most staff members are online for hours on end every day.
Don't try to downgrade their activity by posting ludicrous statements like "they should be online for an hour a day!"!" when you're literally have no idea howmuch time they invest on this forum.

Evader report - 1 click to get to the forum, 1 to view the topic, 1-3 clicks to view the evidence, then either ban or close the topic.

That is roughly 2-3 mins.

There shouldnt be a line for evader topics unless it is weekend and Sythe.org mods have a social life.

Yes it is rough to say that even if you have been a good servant to Sythe.org and done your duty in the past, if you cant right now given that schools started and people go back to jobs and you cant keep up with that, you need to step down.

I have lurked this forums for months if not years and one thing that discouraged me was getting scammed so i always dealt with wongold/r2p/kingtijn.

Why are there many scammers on Sythe? Very known forums that almost every RS player above 100cmb is aware of and very known and active forums require very active mods.
