Should I play support to climb?

I used to be Plat, now I dropped all to S1 because of my not playing in the past couple months. I don't know these new champions Bard, Ekko, Tahm, Kindred, etc all of the newer ones in the past couple of months and I have been dropping.

Should I try to play support back up through silver or is it not worth it in such a low elo?

 

No, don't UNLESS you are planning on playing Annie/Brand (Literally just those two!!)

Your MMR should still be in plat because it was for inactivity. I would suggest you playing a more carrying role as for example Jungle or Midlane.

Play what you played before - although your cosmetic rank says you're in silver, your MMR is still plat. By maintaining a 50% winrate, you should naturally climb back up because of this.

 

Only play support if you're in gold 1 or above in my opinion... people suck at adc
