well they took out wildy so what makes you think they wont take out MTA? considering the fact that nobody really goes there?

It's unlikely the alch and tele files are corrupted, if they are, there would need to be a 1-3 week delay. What I'm waiting to do just now is retreive the files off the hard-disk. The pc won't boot, but the rid files should be fine. Without being able to access these just now, I am still able to write new things, which is what I'm with graveyard, enchant and the new mouse movement options while I wait for the part I need to arrive.

In relation to the specific part I need, there are a few different standards, and the same standards sometimes vary between manufacturers and even between laptops and desktops, but I've taken the computer apart, had a look at everything and the part arriving on Tuesday is the one I need. Sorry but if you prefer I just say there's a delay, rather than give any information on what's going on, you're probably in the minority.

Ah the pc won't boot I have had that many times:'( I just did a windows repair install and it worked every time:nuts:

 

On my broken laptop, to repair windows I'd need to wipe the C drive, I'd lose my files and would have to pain-stakingly re-do 3 weeks work. I've got a new computer arriving today and I'll get the files I need of the broken pc tomorrow when the part I need is expected to arrive.

As far as all four games being completed, and perfected, I'd say before the aniversary of RID, on the 15th October would be a good bet. It would only take that long if enchant proves to be much more difficult and take longer than the other 3 games have been - otherwise the full bot should be finished before Oct, 2008.

Lol you don't have to wipe/format anything you don't even lose your windows settings desktop etc I did it when I got a new video card and Windows would not boot and everything was still in its place:nuts: But 15 October man what is the deal it was supposed to be 16 semptember Would enchant take that long too if you only added the world hop dragonstone enchant mode? Looking good I guess:huh:

 

Repair/recovery varies between, and is even often unique to different systems, you would need to know a bit more about my system before you could offer any really credible advice. My only concern is recovering the data. The laptop has one hard disk that's partitioned into two drives, in the manual, it states that repairing windows will result in the loss of all data on the C partition, D will remain intact but none of my work files are on D. It's good to hear you managed to recover windows without losing anything when you were installing new hardware, but that is different to the problem I have. I'll take what the manual says over your advice, basically to avoid losing 3 weeks of work on alch and tele... especially when the part I'm waiting for is due to arrive tomorrow.

I don't think it will take till mid october to finish enchant, that is a more or less worst case scenario, as people have been speculating.

 

By the way, are there coming forums to Robotzindisguise.com?

Yeah, he should make a forum on his site. Stop the spam on this thread.

 

Good point, while he is waiting on the part to come in he could tackle the groundwork needed to set up forums on his site.

 

Sadly the forums were suppose to be up around the same time his website was.
