Temp mini-ranks for posting

Most of them are pretty ugly.. I'm not sure if this is because most people have them or the actual mini-ranks are pretty ugly.

Would anyone support a change request or is it just me being awkward?:'(

 

pretty sure they were recently changed. Roary made a thread and had a few GFX artists make some up.

They weren't changed. More participation miniranks were added for other forums.

I rather have the option of not receiving them at all.

 

You can un-check it on user-center so you cannot see them. You can also remove the ones you get so they're not visible to others.

This isn't what i'm suggesting/giving fb too though. I think the current ones are just ugly.

 

I'm fully aware. It messes up your postbit depending how many miniranks you have. I've ran this issue through Matthew a few times now to no avail. That's a whole different issue though.

 

make something better and get people behind it and we'll see if we can get it changed

 

I'm not a GFX artist, nor was I suggesting that I wanted to lead the way to get this changed. I was leaving feedback based on my opinion and whether you as staff decide this is valuable feedback or not is your choice. If you want this done i'm sure you/the admins (staff as a whole) could request it in the GFX section and hand out a mini-rank or something in return.

 

Majority of the participation mini-ranks were voted on by the community so you may find that you're in the minority with your opinion.

 

That's fair enough. I was just leaving my feedback and wasn't sure if anyone agreed or not.

I think the current ones look pretty decent. No need to change.

 

I personally don't mind them at all, but if someone makes better ones I don't see why they wouldn't be replaceable.

 

I agree, fantastic reply. I feel some of them, maybe not all, are a little plain/boring. (spam forum/donor lounge) for example.

 

maybe CDT can steal this idea and do something with it. updates to come soon, i hope (?)

Il believe they should be removed totally..they're ugly and of no use. It's also a bother when you have to hide them over and over again.

 

fixing this should be a suggestion imo. ive mentioned it to govind in the past but not sure if it's on a todo list somewhere

 

I suggested having a disable option for obtaining participation miniranks, but instead, Matthew made a feature that allowed you to hide all participant miniranks from your point of view. This created postbit issues which I've tried to bring to his attention for a while now. I think Matthew is the only one capable of coding this because his field is restricted only to him.

 

Support for removal.. Its annoying i didn't even ask for it lol
