Even though I did not take part in this even I would like to say that having no decay is totally retarded, extremely easy to build unraidable bases with no punishment.

 

they both were aiming for the timed prize, which you took away because of the reset. As a result it affected their potential gains, and winner was someone else. Competitions can't be run like this and you need to make this right by either give them and the new winning team the same prize or neither gets anything. This would be true balance.

 

Are you stupid? If everyone is reset, it's fair for everyone. Because everyone is being reset, and everyone can start over.

Okay well unfortunately that's the game type people wanted to play.

we're just frustrated to see a game that we've devoted so much time to and genuinely enjoy playing be abused. It's not about the prizes for us. It's about the game and getting more people active in it and interested. I could care less about sythe gold. It's about building a community for a game that I love on a website that I love. You were just making it a lot more complicated than it needed to be.

I haven't be able to play rust and give the time commitment needed for the game to be played at a high level recently because I've been in college. My time as well as other members of the community have real life commitments that don't allow us to play for several hours a day. The weekends are the days that I don't have class or my internship. As a CDT member that's something that we always try to take into account when we're planning an event. I gave people 3 days to play a round of pokemonshowdown when I knew the majority of them would get it done within the next day.

We don't want to start drama or get into a feud. We just want the community to grow and get introduced into the same games that we enjoy. This site at its core is a video game forum/market place and we just want to see it succeed.

Honestly, feedback is feedback and you don't have to agree with me fortunately. Conclusively, the people who participated and left feedback state that you guys might want to make clear defined rules next time and probably learn a bit more about the game than throwing something together within a few hours. You have failed to define that this game is survival of the fittest (yes, your requirements were feasible but we suggest next time, they could be a bit more realistic). You should want the event to last longer than a couple days if you wanted it to be successful enough to warrant a sythe server.

I would absolutely enjoy another sythe Rust event, as poorly planned, it was probably one of the top 3 events this year.

 

I'm sorry, I forgot everyone on Sythe was autistic. I'll try harder next time and have a report ready for you before doing such an important event. I'll crunch some numbers and try to make it.. at the same time harder to achieve so it takes more than a few days, but easy enough to where you can get it during finals weeks, and make it less complicated but complex enough, not grindy, eggs over easy.

Okay next event I do I'll make sure there's no prizes. Only the community growing and no complicated goals, just no goal at all.

Woulda participated if it was Ark Survival Evolved, the superior version of Rust. But this seemingly got a decent amount of attention, so good on ya for making it happen.

its was fun playing for a few days lol when i first joined i got shot right away i was like damn this is crazy hahah

 

My entry for the base comp. Compact full armored base with many turrets/traps, a shooting floor, 8 split loot rooms, and 5 respawn rooms /w lockers/chests for fast gearing. Base is designed in a way to make it extremely hard to raid since loot is spread out across the entire base and there are many angles where defenders have a huge advantage
