Tattoos & Corporate Jobs

I guess some companies are more accepting when it comes to tattoos, some still like it the old fashioned way :/

Easy to hide something on your wrist with a watch, but yeah, I don't think im gonna risk it Thanks for the responses guys.

 

Btw my bit of advice isn't "DON'T GET A TATTOO!!!", if you have reason and purpose that is enough to have something permanently etched onto your skin, for which you know you won't have any regrets about, go for it. My professional opinion is to do it somewhere easily concealable.

 

Appreciate it bro. I'm gonna wait a few years though, getting a lot of negativity when I asked my parents about it.

 

Oh, my mother cried when she saw mine. It sucked, but it's the nature of it, and she barely even notices anymore. She doesn't even say anything about it now

 

Well honestly, its probably because theres nothing she can do about it How old were you when you showed it to your mother?

 

If you're going into corporate, then steer away from that idea because big companies don't care about the meaning behind any tattoos or why you have them. However, if you're not going into corporate, have established a name for yourself, and are a sole proprietor/majority partner/owner of a business then do you! Just understand that your appearance plays a huge role in whether or not someone (employers, clients) is going to hire you in whatever business field you're delving into.

 

I got my tattoo when I was 19, and didn't show my mother until I was 21.

Honestly, I never intended for her to see, I was already out of her house by that point and I never wear shorts. I decided to come home from college and stay with her for a visit one weekend though, and she walked in while I was getting dressed one day and she saw it

 

The tattoo I got.. I let my friend do! I just wanted to know how it felt while he was tattooing a friend of mine.. When I showed my mother, she just laughed and called me an idiot haha..

I guess it's nice she's grown to accept it, but I get the feeling you'll forever be her little man haha

 

I agree with the others, a visible tattoo is a bad idea if you want a corporate job. Just stay on the safe side
