Or perhaps you could get two symbols in a random asian script. You can tell people thet mean whatever you want depending on the situation, and just hope you picked a language obscure enough that you'll never meet someone who can read it.

Wait until you find something that really inspires and motivates you, such as a saying, symbol, etc. You get a tattoo for you, not so people look at you and are like "wow, he must have been drunk as shit when he got that."

Make sure you don't get anything that even closely resembles anything gang related. My friend got kicked out of the army because he got a tree with a noose hanging from it tattooed on his thigh.

Find something that you really like, then do A LOT of research. Make sure you go to a reputable artist, look at the stuff that he has done, try to talk to some of their clients.
Don't rush it.
